State of the game?

Hi, I stopped playing a few years ago but I got the sudden urge to play my gunner. How's the game right now population wise? How p2w is it compared to, lets say, 2 years ago?

Depending on the time zone you play in, populaton can change. For example, right now in Siel there are apparently 91 on the bright and 81 players on the dark side.
This number can either be less sometimes or increase during the weekends as more people have time to play, the search option will always show a maximum of 104 even if it's more. Lumiel has a remarkably smaller population compared to the other server (~10-20 players). And to answer your second question, there are things you cannot avoid getting for your character if you want to last against anyone (title, plume, WOC2) but today there are more ways to obtain and upgrade your gear in game and if you're a good trader, it might not even take much time to catch up. Thanks! One more question. What's the current end game gear? I got some arbiter stuff, is that still good to pvp?

 

Currently the best gear you can purchase from webshop is Elite Arbiter gear, however you can upgrade your gear to Special Elite Emissary's Divine which if you manage to +20, you stand better chance against players with EA.
