[Legit] Easy way to fix the current unbalance with OP item giveaways! Please Read.

Problem: As much as I understand this is only Beta and everything will be wiped, it's hard to just ignore this. XaNaX has confirmed ya'll intend to fix the majority of bugs and features in game before leaving beta stage. This is going to take some time, not just a few weeks. I can see beta lasting at least 1-2 months.. AT LEAST. With most of the current in-game features not working one of the few things to do currently is focus on grinding and gear progression. By giving out items only to those who were lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time now creates a very unbalanced environment considering the rarity of the items given. PEN Ogre is by far one of the most OP and rarest items in the game. Had it been something like a PRI or even DUO Ogre it wouldn't make much difference considering those are obtainable with a little work. Same goes for Kzarka + Nouver giveaway as well as the Stones, they aren't obtainable at all in-game therefor those lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time now have a heavy advantage over ANY player that missed it or is currently just starting in Beta. Since it's just Beta, why not reward all of your testers? Not just those lucky few. Holding a strong stance on never giving these items out again means the rest of the population from here on out will almost guaranteed complain when they hear the items some of us have. Think about it, a new player wouldn't be able to DUO or TRI any gear, being stuck with at best PRI weapons and maybe 1-2 pieces of PRI armor if they're lucky.

Solution: I'm sure it would be a hassle to go through and reward every new player with the items manually each time one joins. Easy solution would be to set it up like you already have the Pearl box system. To prevent someone from creating a new account and instantly getting the op stuff and placing it on the market for their main to buy, we could implement a in-game time requirement for ALL players, new and old to receive said gifts. (For the veterans that have missed the OP Items already, the 20-40+ hour timer starts once the feature is implemented and only receivable once per account.) Maybe 20 hours? 40? After 20-40+ hours the new player/veteran receives ALL of the items that have already been given. (PEN Ogre, Kzarka, Nouver, 200m 100 concentrated weapon + armor stones) This will eliminate ALL the complainers, it will bring balance back to the game, and it will give new players a reason to log some serious game time to acquire those coveted items. If you do the giveaways because you want to be a part of the community and give us rewards as we go. Maybe we can continue doing the events with less OP stuff such as high tier horses or maybe some costume box rewards.

A PEN Ogre ring is THE rarest item in this game.

Everyone should be given the same opportunity to test all the features available on this server. If I had a PEN ogre ring and that other stuff I would definitely not stop playing.

If they were to give out pen EVERYTHING the we would literally have nothing to work towards. Granted it would be awesome. It would take a lot of the fun of the game and progression aspect away. At least reward everyone the same the things that have been given out to some.

You must be new to the way how Gamez usually handles events. If we take their stance with Aion, they usually rely on the policy "the rarer the item > the more exclusive it should be > ultra special events/ donations only". Granted, the staff for Black Desert may differ in some way, and different rules may apply, but I highly doubt they will give all players the most precious/op items just like that. Given that it is indeed beta, it may happen however, since the accounts will be wiped eventually. Once it goes out of beta, expect item disparity within the playerbase.

 

hehe yeah I was just kidding, but it would be really cool if they did it right before the beta ended and they wiped everything just to mess around

I'm new to Gamez yes but this game like you said, is in Beta stages. The giveaways weren't for anything in particular besides those who were logged in at the time. The items weren't given to just 1-2 people but ALL who were able to be online at that specific time. If there was some type of contest and the winner(1-2 people) got the item it wouldn't be that big of a deal. Half the community has OP stuff while the other half has +15 Yuria weapons. Its extremely unbalanced. When the game goes live and they decide to do giveaways it's fine. If one or two people win an OP item it doesn't break the balance. Giviing the items to 1/2-1/4 of the players and not the others isn't very balanced at all.

It Would be nice if rewards from giveaways will be sent via mail.
I know about one private server which send rewards via mail and it's nice.
That's my opinion. ^^

 

Let's suppose this item (the ring) is just as rare as the so claimed Awakend Celestial items from aion (you'll never ever see them in game, even if they are from a stupid quest line or tokens/points npc shop n.n)

 

I don't believe there are currently ANY of the PEN: Ogre rings in NA and it's been live for a year.

 

I dont even think there are many on kr and that was out for a year before NA. Of course everyone switched to the slightly better item.
