Player to player trade is not enabled in bdo, i believe, to prevent constant begging and such. This game is intended for all of us to work for our own things, in one way or another. Premium users already get several bonuses, but I really don't think they will change the base game just because someone buys premium. Just my personal opinion, that's all.

Im not sure where you got the information but you can trade in BDO. At least stuff like heal potions or meals. So it should be easy to add other stuff to the tradeable items.

I believe the point Lareldal wants to get across is the fact that giving premium users the ability to trade any item would create a huge uproar in the community.

Black Desert Online has been designed in such a way that the economy will always stay at rational levels, how much do you imagine a boss armor piece, "Muskan's Shoes" for example, would go for if free trading was implemented? The prices would skyrocket way past marketplace prices and end up at several hundred millions.

Take Runescape for example, their economy is 100% controlled by the community, which is why some items end up at outrageous prices. Things such as flipping/market manipulating becomes much more prevalent in such situations. People who are currently sitting at several billions would be able to buy up all boss armor pieces for example, and then sell them for at minimum double the price through trading.

Making further items trade-able would result in a huge economical inflation over night.
It is not about whether or not it is possible for them to implement this, it is about the consequences that such a major change would bring.

I understand that it might look like a minor thing, being able to trade items with your friends and guild mates, but the more you look into it the more you will realize how vital it is for the game that trading remains limited and that any and all item transactions are done through the marketplace.

Then how much does it change the fact that you see ppl ingame "WTS Bheg gloves" ? Even in retail the started to "ask for pears" just to put the item up on auction in a city so they can preorder.
And about skyrocketing items so yea no one asks you to buy it. Thats how economy works supply and demand. If they want to sell a liverto bow for 50m let them if there are still ppl buying it good for them. If several millions are to much for an item just dont buy it? What kills the economy are ppl that say "hey 4 mrd for a stupid item who cares i buy it because i can" :)

You are correct, but that is the only exception, as it is on retail.

I fully support this, this isn't retail BDO, they've stated they disabled trading because of gold sellers, they didn't want people spamming chat selling gold for real money. But this isn't Retail BDO... this is GamezBD and I think this would be a great change, just keep moderation on chat all the time and instant ban anyone who spams for gold selling.. simple. Implement Limits on trading, but if I wanna trade my weapon to my brother for a day so he can grind with it, I'd like to be able to do that. I believe it'd be a great thing to implement into the game.

This is not retail BDO, this is true. Though I completely understand why some want this, I can honestly see a couple of problems. First, there is only one Moderator and two GM for gamezbd. I do not have ban power in game to ban spammers, my power is mostly here in forum and in discord. That being said, asking one of the GMs to moderate in game chat all the time to keep spammers under control would require one of them to neglect their other duties. Doing this would put a double work load on one GM, which would make them less effective in said duties. I understand the need and want to trade freely between characters, but at the same time, I understand the need to keep it under control as well, without making things worse in other aspects of the game.

For Instance, let's say you limit trading to Only guild mates, you must be in the guild for 30 days before you can start trading. Or some other feature of limitation, this in itself would stop gold sellers, they don't want to be in a guild for 30 days to sell to one person. This isn't the only way, just merely an idea. At least someway for me to help people without having to grind with them would be great, whether that be giving them silver or giving them items, I think it should be implemented into Premium however, and maybe even raise the price of Premium a little to compensate for such a huge addition.

This could possibly be a working solution, but would also take extra coding and work to make sure it is not bugged... which would also take the devs from tasks that already need their immediate attention, giving people even more reason to complain about the server and other changes.
A huge part of BDO is everyone earning their things by playing each part of the game. I believe this is part of what makes the game immersive. Adding it to the premium, however, I feel, personally, that that would be a very bad idea. Let me explain. Premium membership, i feel, is most likely an extra way to reward those who support the server with extra buffs. That being said, if only those with premium membership were allowed to trade any item within their guilds, now that could be seen as what some call "pay to win" because you are using real world money to purchase items, in a sense, the same as if you could buy them with premium membership from the pearl shop.

Do you realy fear for gold trade on a small private BDO server? You could implement that the "report for spam" funcion ingame would actualy work and if enough ppl report him he gets auto banned from server chat for a day.
