i mean, ye it's pretty good idea, buy why you didnt like black stones for sharps / hards? it's pretty same thing

 

Because black stones are just another drop from a drop table. Memory fragments are something you need to work towards. Collecting scroll parts, putting them together and doing them. If you get too many memory fragments, which is the main reason people do scrolls for, the only other option is to sell them. Having items not being used is bad, economically speaking. You should be rewarded for using different ways to obtain items and they should have their own benefits.

Like gathering has one of the best ways to obtain hards/sharps. Combat in general gives you other advantages which gathering doesnt. I want it to stay in balance so that we get around dead content which is a huge problem.

 

Yeah but still, in current rates gathering is the best option to obtain sharps / hards but you have to put so much afford to actually get to the point where u can gather for 1hr w/o problems with energy, and the still u have to go afk for about 2hrs only to regenerate energy.. so it's not so efficient at the end.
U can balance things so gathering will still provide most sharps and hards but you should have other options to obtain them too...

well if i buy around 1 bill in those things i get around 3 pen attempts.

 

i've wasted about 2-3bil on enchanting dande had about 7 attempts for tet, 1 attempt for pen and most of the money was wasted on duo / tri attempts.

Now i'm more scared of enchanting this shit then i was on retail, cuz here it takes about eternity to get it back to tri

+1 On some kind of hard/sharp improvement as you can only preorder 10 at a time.
I don't mind gathering too much, but i didn't come here to re-grind for 300 Energy+ and get my gathering to master again. I've done it all before and i can't be assed to do it again for a private server...

I do enjoy retail, and i still play it. You're talking as if the playerbase here want it to be like retail and that you're entitled to everything. this is a discussion where each player contributes to this playerbase and some want change some don't. So if you haven't got anything to intellectually say rather than " go back to retail " just don't respond..

 

well, noone is complaining about shit ton of bugs, lags, fucked up horses, most complains are about retail-same shit.
We like this server, but what we dont like is same fucked up mechanics like on retail.
Only thing that bother me more than sharps and hards situation is this little % of players that know shady things on this server which make life for them a lot easier

So you can't be bothered to start from the beginning of an entirely different server with features none existent on retail. Ok. Why bother coming here in the first place? Since you do not want to put effort into playing on the server why would we put effort into fairly discussing a topic with you? I do not, many won't. Just a hand full will tell you.

I get to that conclusion since to put your argumentation into simple words is: "I am too lazy to use the currently available methods so please give me a lazy way" which is not worth being discussed in the first place.

 

This is about the server economy considering sharp stones. Therefore it is a specific discussion for the server. Not an overall mechanic.

Enchanting is a mechanic. Scrolls are a mechanic. Mounts are a mechanic. Trading is a mechanic. Every fundamental system is one. Sharp stone are not.

 

And i think i've put quite a bit afford in this server but still doesnt feel rewarded as i would expect from sucha high rates

No, the shards are part of mechanics but not one themself. It's a reward for using game mechanics.
