Resolved Failed to init security

    Hey, after messing up everyday with this problem im getting tired..

    Everyday my friends and me have this problem if we want to Start the client.

    We have this problem since we start to play on this Server. We open the Laucher and login, after that we hit Start and nothing happens.. few sec later pops up a window with "Failed to init security."

    Sometimes its just work without doing anything after few min and sometimes its not working for hours.

    We all alrdy checked our Firewall and AV...
    We also run the Launcher and the Client as Admin
    Added exceptions to Windows Defender etc
    Disabling firewall
    Edditing version.dat to config.filecheck.dat

    Also tried this Methode:
    Go to Windows Defender Sceurity Center.
    Click on "App & browser control" located on the left and scroll all the way to the bottom and click on "Exploit protection settings".

    On the System settings pane, do the following:
    Turn all of the settings to "off by default" except for the two options listed below:

    Randomise Memory allocation (Bottom-up ASLR)
    Use default (On)

    High-entropy ASLR
    Use default (On)

    On the Program settings pane, do the following (but make sure to add the file BlackDesert64.exe into the list first):

    Leave all of the settings unchecked except for the following:
    Randomise Memory allocation (Bottom-up ASLR)
    Check the "Override system setting" box.
    Click the switch to the "On" position.

    May a Dev can take a look into it or something coz its not only me and this is a annoying problem.

    If logs needed or something, let me know.

    Try this: Rename version.dat to config.filecheck

    Okay, make sure your firewall and windows defender both have gamezbd launcher (folder) set as an exemption (even if disabled). Do the same for blackdesertonline folder. Also, some antivirus programs do not like to allow gamez to run no matter what, including avast, avira, avg, norton, and malwarebytes. If you or your friends having this issue have any of these, have them disable the av and make sure there are no gamez files in the quarenteen. If this does not work, try leaving all of the exemptions set and remove gamez, reboot your pc, then reinstall

    Thanks for the Help but we still have this problem, after a restart we are able to connect, not always but lets say 80%

    If we get a DC or want to restart the game, we have to restart the whole pc everytime and have to hope that we can start the game.
    We never had this problem with the official server.

    We have no clue what else we can do.. restarting the pc everytime is not a solution

    I would like to also get in on this.
    Im having the same problems, sometimes I can get the game to launch by resetting the exception or disabling the antivirus and firewall or sometimes by deleting the Black Desert folder in my documents.
    other times like today nothing help, even restarts, "failed to init security" every time I try anything.
    using Eset Internet Security, my client was originally from the steam retail, also I have 2 computers i play on, at home my PC and at work my laptop, onedrive syncs up my document (might have some implications). would it be possible for some1 to review the launcher logs?

    im in the same predicament
    every time i start the game i need to first use the forceCheck option if not i will get the "failed to init security" of course i followed all the advices.
    i dont know what else i should do

    My friends and me finally get a solution for our Problem, after tried every singel methode. We removed Eset from our Pc and now it works like a charm... we really dont know why this happens but now its time to get another AV

    would it be possible for one of the staff members to lookup a solution that doesnt involve removing ESET security?

    Have you tried adding the whole GamezBD directory to ESET's exceptions list?

    For some reason this is how it works for me, I've been using it for this problem and I don't know why it works.
    1. I am having two (2) types of version.dat, one was for version 678 (older one) and version 683 (updated) on my gamezbd folder.
    2. The purpose of the older version.dat (678) is for the launcher to roll back version and do a file check, force closed the launcher on around 1000+/7000+ file checking and don't let it finished.
    3. Rename the older version.dat (678) to anything so that it wont be used by the launcher and then use the updated version.dat (683) then relaunched the gamezbd launcher, finished the whole patch thing and file checking and its done.
    Note: You have to do these steps everytime the game is closed or ur disconnected.

    The config.filecheck thing doesnt work at all for me, thats why I have these steps to do. The launcher is like a one-time consumed thing, once consumed it gets bug and the failed to init security triggers.
    My only problem now is I am now stuck with these 97% Updating Patch File Not Moving Now

    PLS help me!!! I tried to fix that in all possible ways that are said here and its still not working for me :(((((( You see i don't even have an antivirus program i have disabled the windows defender and and put the files like its said and its still not working :(((
