Please Restart Launcher - disabled antivirus and Firewall

    I've been getting the message "please restart launcher" and I for the life of me cannot figure out how to fix it. I've disabled the anti virus and fire wall on windows defender. I even excluded gamezbd from anti virus even though I turned it off altogether.
    If it helps, I've started getting this message since the update on september 17th I believe.

    I've been using solutions from past forums posts and none of them helped. Here are some of them.

    The solution did not worked. I put it on my retail version and it got stuck endlessly at finalizing.
    In addition, I copied the .exe file into it's own directory and it was able to install fine, but it became stuck at updating patch files at 42%.

    Again, I'm at a lost. What should I do? I really love this version of BDO. I would hate to quit it because of a launcher error.

    Hey i have mcafee and i turned off both antivirus and firewall but it still says launcher needs to be restarted. it my first time downloading this game and i really wanna play it

    seems like i only haves logs and the actual launcher inside those folders...not sure what i should do now..

    try to download only launcher and copy paste in ur bdo folder and try again

    I believe that I used those two links before. The problem is not the installation, but that it never finishes updating after the installation is finished.
    I will try the two links provided since then however. thank you.

    The new links provided did not seem to help.
    I receive the same error as stated before in that my launcher is now stuck at updating at 42%.
    I'll download the update file and extract it to my retail version. I doubt it will work though.

    If it doesn't work, I don't know what to do next.

    it seems you are missing a couple of the required files in your gamez folder. If you are still having this issue, send me a pm in discord and I will pass them to you, then you can drag them into the gamezbd folder. This has helped most with this problem in the past.

    If possible, can you one of you two upload the files onto this thread? As i seem to have the same problem too.
