Make expired min price items get bought by the server

I think items that expire at minimum price should be bought by the server at half price similar to what is happening right now with special deals. This would solve a lot of problems with the marketplace we are currently having due to the recent changes. Currently PEN armor and weapons besides Urugons and Griffon are growing in number not many people want to pay 6b for a Dande or 5b for a Kutum. Pretty much all accessories besides a few rings, earrings and the BIS necklaces and belts never sell due to capotia accessories so this will solve that problem aswell.

Having to wait a full week to sell isn't ideal but at least people will get their item sold and anyone who does want to buy it will have a full week to do so. This should keep a healthy amount of items on the MP but also allow people to get their money. I would like the point out that this would also help with a bug we have on the MP at the moment where if the server is reset the order of items gets randomized so even if your item had been up longer and was at the top of the list if the server restarts you could end up at the bottom making it impossible to sell your item.

The current situation right now is that people trying to sell PEN gear are giving up and getting negative karma then dying to guards to downgrade to TET just to sell. I actually did this recently too.

That's not a bad idea but only if you get like a third or a fourth of the value of the PEN item from it, just so people who reroll off a class can get rid of their weapons. If you get full price from it it would be ridiculously inflationary, probably even more than normal special deals and imperial horse training.

 

A third or fourth the value would make it pointless to sell. For that price you would just make a TET and sell it and if you had a PEN get negative karma and downgrade it to TET to sell for the same price and within minutes to hours rather than a week. Thats why I also suggested giving half the value since that will still give profit for making it but would be more in line with the money people are making off special deals and horses over the week. I don't think inflation is really an issue on here since we have fixed prices and I know personally that billions of silver can leave the game instantly from crons while enhancing accessories. There is also the fact that some day trading will be fixed and will bring in just as much if not more silver. Here is a reply from Kolka to show it will be fixed since I know some people think it never will.

I think it would be fine to remove it once trading is fixed if it gives people enough silver to buy but for now the problem isn't getting any better. The people that want to reroll can't without downgrading and enhancing back to PEN with limited money and people who enhance to make money have only a few rare pieces of gear to rely on that actually sell.

Ah, I missed the part where you said "at half price" Still think that's too much but yea.

 

I'd like this to get implemented too ; due to the recent and exponential increase of players on the server it got a lot harder to sell stuff, even boss gear sometimes sits in the marketplace for days if not weeks, especially kzarka.
