Cant open the game

so since the new big patch i cannot open the game unless i go into "my documents" and go to the "gameoptions.txt" file and change "isdynamicbss" from 0 to 1. everytime i change it and the server goes down or i have to log out i have to repeat this process before i can launch the game. i would like to know if there is a way i can fix this or will i have to deal with this from now on?

i can set the file to read only and i dont have to do it everytime but if i do that then when i get a loading screen or change some graphic settings an error pops up and i have to click ok before it takes me out of the loading screen or lets me change any graphic settings.

the error doesnt really matter. i just need to know if there is a reason why i have to change the settings in gameoption.txt" "isusedynamicbss" from 0 to 1 before i can log in?

there is no error when it tried to open and just closes. so i have to go into that file and change that option before i can actually get past the first initial splash screen.

 

I am not sure what problem you're trying to solve. I need to know what happens up until the crash to help you further. Have you been able to play normally in the past? Have you recently made any hardware changes? Do you have AMD 5700RTX? Are you running with the latest drivers for the AMD 5700 RTX? Did you download the client through the torrent or the launcher? Have you tried to force check? Are you on Windows Insider edition?

 

litterally nothing happens before the crash. if i try to open the game it gets to the splash screen and then just closes back to the launcher. then i have to go into the gameoptions.txt file and change the "isusedynamicbss" option from the value 0 to 1. then the game will get past the splash screen and let me into the game.

no i havent done any hardware changes and yes i have been able to play just fine before the big patch.

im running ryzen 3900x with rtx 2070.

i dont know what else to tell you.

reguarding the error message i was speaking about is because if i dont want to change the "gameoptions.txt" file everytime i log in i have to set it to read only. then when the game goes to a loading menu it will populate an error message because it cannot altar the file i set to read only. THAT IS NOT THE ISSUE. that is simply because i set the file to "read only". again the issues is not being able to get past the first splash screen because "isusedynamicbss" is set to 0 and i have to change it to 1 before i can load in. this did not happen in the past and im not the only one with this problem. i found this workaround on telegram from other users right after the patch went live and it started to happen to other people. i suppose im the only one thats making a post about it though.

"To anyone getting crashes at the gameZ splash screen go to your documents/gamezBD/gameoptions.txt and check if isUseDynamicBSS is 0 or 1, if its 0 thats like 99% likely the reason you are crashing just change it to a 1"

Is there any specific option in settings that you change that deals with the lighting? Are you in remastered mode when you log off or before you login? Could I get a copy of your gameoption.txt file?

 

i have 2 different presets i use. one on remastered and pretty much maxed settings. and another with the lowest. it does it on both

 

I see the crashing when usedyn is set to 0, however, when I log out after setting usedyn to 1 it does not change. Have you tried windowed mode? Is your GPU driver up to date?

 

i only use window mode. and my drivers are up to date. when i exit the game isusedynamicbss sets itsself back to 0 every time.

this did not happen before the big patch. nothing has changed on my system at all.

 

I know, this question seems maybe stupid, but:
Did u do a fresh install with the new big patch, or did u use old files/structures?
You can check by checking the size of your installfolder. If it exceeds 40gb, you merged it with old files.

If u did use old files, get your hands on the update files itself (http://forum.gameznetwork.com/threads/download-mirrors-client-v2886-community-provided.210022/)
and the clean Launcher (http://gamezbd.net/launcher/GamezBD Launcher.zip)
and follow the instructions:

1.Remove old installation completly (new patch changed filestructure etc).
2.Create clean folder wherever your new installation should be and copy the content of the patchfiles inside (not the 2886 folder itself, but its contents like paz folder).
3.Start freshly downloaded launcher from wherever you like (except the clean bdoinstallfolder itself) and point to the folder where you coppied the client files to.
4.Wait for the client to download the fixes that came after new patch.
5.Have fun!

 

yes i just copied over the new files into my old game. thought that was what i was supposed to do lol. ill try that and see if that helps.
