New Account Family name BUGGED

Hi, so I recently convinced my friend to start playing GameZBD - he created his character, started playing, and when i told him to msg me so we could hook up ingame he got the window to create a family name. so he did. he cant use chat because what ever happens he cant ACTUALLY create the name, types it out clicks check name and confirm it looks fine, then when he goes to use chat again it opens the create family name window again, over and over hes tried.

We have tried relogging, changing channels, disconnecting completely reconnecting, nothing seems to work.... please help <3

 

What happens if he presses Check Name ? if its avaible , it should work tho , thats realy strange.

 

check name, name is available. and then he hits the confirm button and then nothing happens. window closes but he has no family name

 

Now new accounts already starts with a random family name, so ask your friend to be patient when setting a new Family Name.
I had a similar issue, what I did was set the new name (don't forget to verify that first) and confirm, after that you won't see the name change right away, you have to go back to character selection and then login on the same character again.

Hello, I'm the friend referenced in this post.
No matter what I do, re-log, restart, anything. The box keeps coming up and it's not pushing my family name of choice through. It will pop up with the "You will reconnect once you confirm your Family Name. Continue?" and I click yes, it does nothing, then pops up sometimes multiple times right after the other, or randomly throughout play.

 

confirmed this is the person who has the issue occur.

 

I didn't WANT to use a different one since it was saying available. Though changing the spelling a bit sent it through.
It was still saying the other was available, however. So still a bug. But problem now mitigated. Not quite the name I wanted, but it'll do.

Orcsbane was the person with the issue i was posting on his behalf.

He was able to create family name however there is a bug with checking family name that is already taken saying that it is available.
