[Returning Player] Progression tips ?

Returned to Gamez but a couple days ago after a 2-3 years hiatus ; needless to say , my knowledge concerning the game , its progression system and my class is quite outdated by now...and while the class discord can offer some help with the latter I'd still rather ask here about gear progression and grind spots .

My GS is about 600 ( 276 AP , 331 DP ; succession Maehwa , still need to work on a Kutum bow and on various other stuff as you'll see ) .

Where should I farm at ? What should I prioritize ?
Keep in mind my knowledge about stuff is very outdated so if you could explain how the new gear or any relatively recent system works and such works that'd be extremely appreciated rn .

I am sorry to say, that most of the entire game, runs as it always has. Nothing has changed in remarkable ways yet. All that needs updating is the "mainstream"-database, that is; If you just want to be a mindless follower

I gather that the reason you are asking in here, is because you really want to find the "best" areas, and the "easiest" way to play. Not possible for me to know, but the OP (original post) and description of your problem, seems to lead towards that conclusion.

I am not going to demean you, if you feel as if mainstream ideology is all you need or want in this life, but I do want to warn you; mainstream ideology, is what lead to the witch hunting, the religious persecution, the hatred of anyone who doesn't look like you, or think, or feel like you.

Alright that out of the way, I can only recommend that you browse some of the threads in here, since you might get the best info. straight from the source. However in my personal experience, playing the game, trying out new things, and tailoring the gameplay experience to your own needs, that is usually how you maximize the enjoyment as well as time investment.

Have you taken a look at the Grumpygreen Guides? Or perhaps just made a New Accessories search? Guess that's where the biggest changes have been made, other than the new Artifacts that we recently got. I really hoped that I could have been of more use, but luckily there are some people, who will go to quite some lengths to "one up me" (trying to better me without there being a challenge or competition by the way), so there is a good chance that someone will lend their input here, after mocking this reply

 

Change to Fallen God's Armor. You can Grinding for Materials, In Tunkuta.
Labreska's Helmet materials u can get from Jade Starlight Forest. I not have yet. I working to everything alone so for that not have yet.
Weapons change to Blackstar. Easy quests in Northem Wheat Plantation from... Screenshot below.

You need a lot of Caphras Stones. You can get everywhere. Whole armor to +10 then u can change to Fallen God's Armor. and Labreska's Helmet.

I use whole Tungrad Accessories. Aakman/Hystria Desert or Kratuga Ancient Ruins for Tungrad Earrings and Tungrad Necklace.
Next in Underwater Ruins u can grinding for Tungrad Ring and in Gyfin Rhasia Temple for Tungrad Belt.

Progress report cause I'm feeling rather proud and happy about my little accomplishments .

I've been farming for stuff in a very chill manner , took frequent breaks to do other stuff , this could definitely have been achieved within a month rather than the two I spent on it ( but I like playing other games as well... ) .
Still was quite a grind , took tons of daily 4-6 hours farming sessions so , yea , I did have to put in the effort and time .

Going to relax a bit more , maybe explore the new regions , and then start focusing on the spear , Vell and on everything else , upgrades are likely going to take a lot longer soon .
Will be replacing crystals , too . Can't wait though , will also be trying out some of the other classes once more whenever I can .
