Is there a chance that you can improve your crit rate to a 100%? and what are the soft cap and hard cap?

After 440 crit you get diminishing returns. 440-540 I think every 20 crit strike points = 1% crit, and then from 540 crit strike = 50 crit points is 1% crit rate.

so in other words, the higher the crit strike you are the more crit strike points you will need to increase your "crit rate" chance.

    0-440 = +1% crit rate (+44%)
    440-600 = +0,5% crit rate (+8%)
    600-1000 = +0,2% crit rate (+8) ( 60% crit rate chance ).
    1000-1200 = ? Honestly I don't know but over 60%.

but remember strike resist knocks off the rate by a 1:1 ratio. Aka 1 Strike resist = 1 Crit Rate.

So someone would need 160 Strike resist to bring you from 600 to 440.

It also depends on your class, sins have crit strike skills giving them high crit rate.

but if your looking for high crit just do crit/? duo stones.

also use crit food, crit scrolls and crit skills if your class has any crit skills I know rangers, sins and chanters do.

you should also get HAC weapons seen as they got the highest crit strike on weapons and if your looking for 100% you will need the best items.

Chanters have 2 crit mantras so this can give them a extra 120 crit if they use the 2 crit mantras at same time Unlike sin and ranger, mantras aren't a buff so you don't got to buff your self every minute mantras remain 24.7 until you die and they can't be debuffed.

I have reached 1300 crit on my chanter before and I hitted 95% of the time.

it actually depends on others armor with socketed type of dual ms and how much your accuracy+crit, well honestly i think if you get around 2800 accuracy(idk how much for magical acc) with 900 crit, you surely can easily kill hac user.... well i just guess, but based on my experience playing melee its really work...

Actually, it's the daggers that have more crit, not swords. Players usually can get up to 500~ give or take Strike resist meaning if you're at 1000 Crit strike, it's 50% chance to crit. Not sure if crit chance increases if you keep going over 1000. I personally find 950~ good enough.

So, therefore, your crit also depends on the enemy you're facing.

The Bold part I've pointed out may be outdated since the introduction of Strike Resist. Then again, Gamez formulas doesn't mirror retail accurately and it may still use the old crit formula.
Either way, the crit chance cap is somewhere between 50-60%. It "should" be impossible to exceed that and get 95% crit chance.
Also there's the RNG, sometimes you can hit like 10 crits consecutively on a player, or other times you can hit only 2 crits on the same player.

To an extent yes, in terms that every 10 crit spell = 1% crit chance, and every 10 spell resist = 1% crit resist. However the "soft/hard" cap should be negligible since you'll never reach that high crit spell.

    Yes it does :)

Not exactly, crit spell stones are much less smaller then crit strike stones.

And there's no such thing as "crit spell duo stones" so in other words, you will lose mb/ma at the expense of crit spell. and without mb/ma stones = no damage and less chance of hitting, while if you get mb/ma you can easily hit higher then what you can with crit hits with a crit spell build.

It's not worth it, sorc got crit spells buff's use them only with crit spell scrolls.

crit spell scroll = 40 crit spell.

crit stones = 5 crit spell.

so 1 and half pieces on a piece of 6 slotted gear = the same stats as a crit spell scroll so not worth it!

50-60% crit rate once you overlap the strike resist of the target. And of course, the more you hit the target, the higher the chance of crit strike. Because of WOC2, cap rate of crit strike seems to be useless.

regarding the whole idea of 100% crit chance, if we take for granted how retailers claim crit chance works, and if we also assume that's how it works in Gamez, and crit chance doesn't change after reaching 0.2 crit chance per crit strike point, you'd need exactly 3,000 crit strike to crit 100% of the times, and that's without taking strike resist into consideration <:

    Retail Crit Strike:

    0 - 440 = 1% crit chance per 10 crit strike
    440 - 600 = 0.5% crit chance per 10 crit strike
    600+ = 0.2% crit chance per 10 crit strike

most good sets have a strike resist of 400-500 so if you have a 1k crit strike, you'll only have 50-60% chance of critting

    1000-400=600 .60 or 60%
    1000-500=500 .50 or 50% and so on..

    and crit has random proc,

just like what they said :) but reaching 3k crit is pretty impossible :p

uh first of all, no matter how high ur crit is, ur atks cant crit 100 percent.

and uh others explained well about the per 10 crit formula.
My advice is to boost ur crit to 950, no more than that. I find it the best crit value, going over 950 wont help u at all :)
