2 servers at SAME time?

Hi, I'm new here. This is supposed to be an introduction post, but I just wanna ask at the same time if it's possible to play both the Crystal Aion and the Gamez Aion at the same time.

You see, I've never really picked a private server to play on for myself before, so I just picked whichever was the highest rated one in the lists. And this one is usually the highest rated aion server on most of the top sites (along with atomix) so I decided to try here.

But I'm also worried that I'd get through the game too fast and become bored of it. I like having the freedom and ability to experience the game fully, but I feel getting through the game too fast makes effort kind meaningless at the same time y'know?

so i was thinking of going to crystal aion to play. but i'm worried that the community might not be very large there because from what i can tell on the forums and site ratings, "Gamez Aion" is the most populate. Am I right?

So is there anyone with experience who can tell me if gamez aion is rlly a better server to enjoy the game? or if crystal aion's server is well populated or not? and also if it's possible to play both servers at once?

only p2p game i've ever tried was ragnarok (private server)
waiting for blade and soul to be released.
played video games for many many many years. since grade school.
favorite genre of game is jrpg.
i own / have owned nearly all the consoles. remember i said "nearly" not "every".
been into anime since 1st grade.
i also read manga / manhwa.
i like to watch korean dramas online. and other asian dramas.
i like art and music.

Yes it is quite possible to play on both as I do it from time to time, but I normally operate on Crystal.

As per your question, Gamez is the larger and much more popular server. Crystal has a low population because it is more retail like and tends to be more oriented to PvE content while Gamez is more for players who want to move really fast through said content and get to the PvP.

Both servers have their strengths and weaknesses and it is more up to the player on what they want.

 

Yes you can play both the Crystal server and GamezAion server(high-rate)....

lol joke...i think its possible to play crystal(mid rate) and Gamez(high rate)

but i think you need to keep switching item.pak to be able to trade some items

If you wish to play on both, all I did was copy and pasted my entire NCSoft folder from my Program Files and pasted onto my Desktop. I have my Gamez Launcher connected to my Program Files NCSoft folder and my Crystal Launcher connected to my Desktop folder. When you need to update (2.1 for both servers) you can just righ click on Aion when you get the NCSoft Launcher to open and properties. Their will be an option called "Install Location". Just select where your aion bin file is for your Gamez NCSoft folder and your Crystal NCSoft folder and you'll have to update both folders.

Ty for the information. Crystal sounds like it's more for me than Gamez then since I'm not playing the game for pvp. But I do hope that crystal is not toooo underpopulated. I want to get into life skills and open up a shop. That will be hard to do with hardly enough people to buy from my shop. .-. or know that i exist.
and that sounds like a lot of work. (and a lot of space that needs to be taken up which i cant afford @A@) so it's not possible to have both launchers link to the same aion folder?

i dont remember which RO server i played in. i only joined it because a friend made me. i didn't really understand the game and the server wasn't that populated so i got lonely and quit the next day.. @~@

 

In terms of not crashing yes it is. We very rarely crash.

Their may be a way, but I personally don't know of it. It was the way I did it cause it was simplest and I had a lot of space to spare. Also yes Crystal is a nice experience. We do have a tendency to focus more on PvE, but their is still a good bit of PvP going on. We have seen more players lately, but nowhere near the numbers of Gamez sadly. Gamez will normally have hundreds of players on at any one point, while Crystal may only have about 60-70 max on at a time.

@Gaura: Not illegal, but yes their is a high chance you could get scammed in the process so I wouldn't advise it unless you trust the person.

and for someone interested in life skills and opening up a shop, is gamez better or crystal?
i really wanna play crystal. i don't think it matters whether it's the "most" populated server. but aion is a big world. i don't want it to be like..
a deserted area y'know. not good for a shop owner at all @~@

i see i seee... 60 to 70 people on at the same time is not sooo bad i suppose. and it's a good sign that people are moving to it.

and yea i think opening a shop in crystal is alot better than gamez...

cause i swear the economy in gamez is like so stupid..if you have 100billion kinnah..your still poor xD

better start in a "more retail" server

You will definitely notice a difference between Gamez and Crystal in terms of population. Gamez economy is kind of over inflated right now though as people are selling stuff for billions of kinah and most players have billions of kinah which isn't the way it's supposed to be. In terms of economy, Crystal has a stronger economy cause very few players have a billion or more kinah and prices are more reasonable.

On Gamez though a private store would be more effective because of the population difference. Crystal it would be more useful to use the Broker. If you set up a store in one of the main cities, such as Sanctum or Pandaemonium on Crystal, you may sell a few things, but I won't lie and say that it may take a while.

Also more retail like means Crystal is more oriented towards players who liked retail but hated the rates.
