About balance?

    Hello :)
    ok so this is a question that has been bothering me since the last update with ''melee class buffed''.
    50-60% of server are warriors (Glads/Temps)
    20-30% are Scouts (but way more sins than rangers)
    rest of the population are magic based classes and no denying that they are in disgraceful minority.
    this numbers are of course not the most precise but roughly this is the situation with gamez now.
    now, don't get me wrong I do know that people choose winning over loosing (why wouldn't they?) and I'm totally fine with that, so my problem is not in ''magical minority''
    my problem is in reason that caused this.
    Basic attack with swords that deal 2k+ crits, Templars that are doing glad caliber of damage without sacrificing any of the ''tankyness''.
    spiritmaster is obsolete and if you removed it as a class nobody would even notice (for couple of months at least :D)
    Whenever I raise this discussion in public the main defense for melees is that some sorces, sms, sw or clerics and etc. can beat them in duels. there are of course individuals yeah but if I counted them on fingers trust me both hands would be enough and we must know that gamez is not duel-only server its a pvp server, well at least that's how it got its reputation and on pvp magic is trashed by melee.
    So I want to ask to reconsider messing with stats and maybe op sw is not enough reason to buff whole melee race.
    Is there any type of discussions going on about this case in within AM circle?

    As far i do remember, about a year ago it was changed like, nerffff cleric block/Mr, buff melee, while they don't even needed since there s no Cap on attack, no diminishing effect on the Manastones, and lol, magicals are mb capped from ages. why they needed this on melee no idea for real, but it's just Stupid. Plus there are, silence skills, Godstones 10%,which totally kill mages. It should be reversed from a long time cuz glad can be about 65%pvp attack if im not wrong. Honestly, the only way to fix this, it's 5.6 update or so, it will be self fixed by the update.

    as an SM, using bind now is completely pointless, since auto hits do almost as much damage as skills do, sometimes more damage. So, i think it's about time to reverse the buff on melee classes.

    I totally agree, blind is no longer useful on this server, physical classes use normal attack where they can do more damage than using their normal ability.
    it is notorious that a magic class to gain from a physical class on this server is very difficult, as for example a Sin in only a normal atack with a duration of 1 second can lower its hp in 3k + Crit, and a Mage can deal 8k damage with a skill that takes 4-5 seconds to execute.
    obviously there is no balancing of classes on this server, the Magicians even being in the minority still suffer disadvantage against the physical classes.
    TEMPLAR - It has the Tanker function with an incredible defense and possesses the Sorcerer damage with a DPS that destroys anyone in a few seconds.
    LITERALLY UNBALANCED.
    And the largest population of this server is physicists obviously because of this large imbalance.

    I was hoping some changes in this update but they never happened.
    wanted to ask AMs, are there any changes planned in near future about this case?

    This problems are mostly caused by Woc 2 and all stigma mode, thats why the melle get buff. Still sw,sorcs whit some exp can delete glad on 4-5 hits or a para combo. But yea the dmg is also big, slightly boost magic and its fine.

    nah, there it was an admin manual editing on melee, a year ago, if i remember right it was 20% pvp attack then it was reduced to 10%pvp attack, so this its why everyone it's talking about boosted melee.

    The enormous imbalance that exists now will be the first thing to go in the next update.

    Yup. That's why ever since, mostly everyone played physical class. Something needs to change.

    That would be nice. Hopefully soon.

    I want see the balance, technicaly is very hard to balance that, if they remove the melle buff, they struggle again hard vs sw,cleros. But we will see, maybe im wrong.

    Also, can you please add WOC 1 Block stat with the fix. It does not add the block stats. We were all aware of this for a very long time now. I hope this will get fixed. It's also a big problem because Glads can get up to 7k + full accu set and there's no way to mitigate their damage even if you have full Health +10, you cannot get enough block to counter it.

    I even made a vid for @Carl when I was still in staff. Still has not been fixed since.

    there s nothing hard, melee only have more pvp attack than others , that s all, it can be "back to normal" easy. I havent seen a group with 5 sw and 1 cleric, but ive seen a lot with 1 cleric and 5 glads^^, means that they are much better to play in a group than most of other classes. As about 1v1, if you meant this, glads/temps already do have UD and others for melee enemies, they cannot get everything, rangers/sins do have magical resist buffs, and silence skills , and let s not talk about the no Attack cap^^ with full power +10 , everyone hits hard on any magical.

    Yea if u put the attack to normal way, glads will get low as fuck, it will be only playable whit clero on ass. Isntead magic still do alot dmg + ranged, and whit all stigma u can fuck up every glad/temp u want, not talking about ranger which is garbage on gamez aswell. The point is there will be still Op classes cuz of the all stigma and u never can balance that. If u nerf glad there will rise sw and sorcs again, ifu nerf them there will come temps, sin´s and vice versa.

    About the full power = big dmg to cloth, ehm fkin sw had stumble resist, bind, para, sleep, heal, mana sucking.... most op shit ever. Fine then nerf other class melle dmg and keep glad buffed :D


    MAybe up some pvp deffense then for magic....ez make 5% more and done :p cuz spell dmg is still high.

    ohhh well here we go again with BALANCE:
    1)dont talk about balance since we are at non stigma system server, if talk about balance then we will talk about siel need to go on stigma system like lumiel in the past and more stuffs like remove 10/10 stones etc.
    2)sw/temp/sorc they are the most benefited and op races on this server that's the true, theyre op af on 1v1, but they arent that good on group pvp (except temp), that's how those races are designed and in most games warrior race is always core member of groups for pvp, that's game mechanics.
    3) well if u nerft meeles and raise cloths, is sample all the server will start to play cloth, or do u think ppl will continue playing meele knowing that has a disadvantage, maybe some glads will merge to temp, but the rest will play cloth and even if this happened groups with warriors will be better than composed by cloth ones (with clerics ofc).
    4) I read some ppl talking about dual swords, so I have faced lots of glads and sins with it, I wonder if u guys know how to kite (cuz bl sword&dagguer arent xtend items).

    1) all stigma systems had 2 trees from which player could choose 1 and follow that skill set so opening both for everyone is not huge disbalance unless we talk about skill corelations with each other from separate trees which is again invalid argument since it's open for everyone. so overall ''balance'' keeps intact with this system.
    2) If we talk about how classes are designed to exist in aion then we can't exclude the manner how warriors were created. 2 subclasses one which had less def and more dmg and agility was glad and other which had less dmg but could tank entire group of 6 alone. This is how it should be if you talk as ''how game is designed like most mmorpg''. if you think this is still the case now then you are in denial.
    3) Melees are now buffed so decreasing the effect of that buff is never a nerfing for them since they are already exceeding their normal capabilities. what was buffing reason for them is whole another topic of matter (trust me). tweaking the stat numbers delicately will only cause minor decrease of the melee population with increase of magical and that's the main desire of this thread.
    4) You have faced lots of glads and sins as what class exactly? don't use that argument if you only play either cleric or glad and temp. I have a feeling thats the case because if you faced them as a cloth you'd be on on other side of the road. nobody kites better then sorc but when even that doesn't help then yeah we got a problem.

    What I want to tell you is that problem exists and to post a text that says it doesn't is a clear case of being in denial only because this state benefits you.

    I play solely as cloth, and kiting helps but not much, battling against plates or sins, is like a 50 50 chance to win in some cases.
    Using bind doesn't help at all, since auto hits are almost equal, or greater in some cases, to skill damage.
    It honestly needs to change soon, people will always float over to the class with more advantage, just like people will always abuse if they can.
