Glad you liked it. The one I linked is Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex followed by a sequel Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd GIG and lastly Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex - Solid State Society.

The other Ghost in the Shell movies doesn't have the same English dub cast. Mary Elizabeth McGlynn is the one who voiced the main character (purple haired woman) on the series and movie I mentioned above.

Also my bad, the video I linked above is actually a major spoiler :/

It's not a preview. It's actually an important part of the second season but I had to post that video showing that specific part to prove how good the English dubbed is :/

Still a long way before that part from season 1 tho so as long as you don't re-watch the video I linked, it should decrease the enjoyment you'll have watching the series (hopefully, lol)

Arise is basically the backstory of how Public Security Section 9 was formed.

Love how I don't get alerted with your post, probably because of my forum name that only consist of a single letter since as far as I remember you cannot register an account using only 1 character as your user name. Not that I know forum is gonna turn like this when I changed it :D

Anyway, as you watch the series you will later realize in the end how everything from episode 1 is connected to the main story of the series. It's a long build up and requires a lot of your attention while watching to understand how is a certain episode connected to the climax at the end. The same goes for season 2, from episode 1 it's all build up until you reach the final conclusion.

You're gonna have to put up with slightly slow pacing until more or less half way through. Once The Major and her crew starts putting the pieces together to find the real culprit from the very beginning.
