Plot: Twenty years prior to the story's beginning, an asteroid headed for Earth destroys Pluto. Due to Pluto's destruction, the asteroid, which is dubbed Thanatos, becomes temporarily stagnant in Pluto's orbit. Now, in order to avoid Earth's impending destruction, the International Solarsystem Development Agency (ISDA) works on the "D-Project", and secretly creates weapons called "Dragons" after finding a dragon egg under the ocean. However, they soon find out that the asteroid is not their only threat, as powerful, destructive dragons from Thanatos appear on Earth.

Plot:

I bunched all of these three together because they all encompass the very same foundation. A single, small time character sets out on a gigantic journey acquiring a dozen of friends along the way and fighting with those to defeat everything perceived as evil in the anime, with the starting main character always remaining the strongest amongst all in the periods where it counts.

They're basically your new-age Dragonball versions, each of them having their own styles that might make you want to watch it. They're called the big three because they're pretty much the most successful animes/mangas to date, staying atop of all charts since the last 5-6 years.

Rating: pretty much A for all, despite all the mainstream haters. They've all got great entertaining value.

Now, should you be one of those pretentious people claiming they're too 'grown up' to watch such kiddy shows(which is the biggest nonsense i've heard considering that the uncensored version of naruto atleast deals with very mature topics), then I suggest you stop watching animes alltogether. They're majorly tailored to a young audience that's around 20 years old. (yes, 20 accounts as young amongst grown ups). Or do you think a 40 year old person will sit down and watch Hellsing or anything like it?

One of the BEST if not the best out there. Great story full of romance and ups and downs plus it has an EXCELLENT ending.

Plot:
The series focuses on Renton Thurston, the fourteen-year-old son of Adroc Thurston, a military researcher who died saving the world. He lives what he considers a boring life with his grandfather in a boring town. He loves lifting, a sport similar to surfing but with trapar, a substance abundant throughout the air, as the medium. He dreams of joining the renegade group Gekkostate, led by his idol Holland, a legendary lifter.

An opportunity to do so literally falls into his lap when a large mechanical robot, called the Nirvash typeZERO, and Eureka, its pilot and a member of Gekkostate, crash into Renton's room. Renton's grandfather orders him to deliver a special part to the Nirvash called the "Amita Drive", which releases the immense power dormant within the typeZERO called the "Seven Swell Phenomenon".

Afterwards, Renton is invited to join Gekkostate, where he quickly discovers that the behind-the-scenes life of Gekkostate is hardly as glamorous or as interesting as printed in the glossy pages of their magazine, ray=out. Only one thing makes it all worthwhile for him: the presence of Eureka, the mysterious pilot of the Nirvash. Plot:
K-On!'s story revolves around four Japanese high school girls who join their school's light music club to try to save it from being abolished. However, they are the only members of the club, and at first Yui Hirasawa, the main character, has no experience playing musical instruments or reading sheet music.

Eventually, she learns how to be an excellent guitar player. Since then, Yui, bassist Mio Akiyama, drummer Ritsu Tainaka and keyboardist Tsumugi Kotobuki spend their school days practicing, performing, or just hanging out together. The club is overseen by music teacher Sawako Yamanaka, who eventually becomes their homeroom teacher as well during their final year of high school. In their second year of high school, the club welcomes another guitarist, an underclassman named Azusa Nakano.

After Azusa joins, they gain more structure and begin to practice more. The story concludes at the end of the third year for the senior members. They all agree to attend the same university after high school and leave the club to Azusa after graduation. Yui's sister, Ui, and their friend Jun both join the club for Azusa's senior year.
