that is the effect of sendlogclient. you either have a faulty items.pak that you just implemented and won't let you run the game or you just randomly got the error like most of us do. if it's the second option there's no fix since it is quite random, I got it from pulling out my weapon once. If it is the first one, however, you probably need to get a different version of the items.pak or you need to use the original one only.

In case it is the items.pak, if you are a windowsxp user and you are trying to use a modified 3.0 items.pak, there's a big chance it won't work at all. In this case, all you can do is use the original one.
