Blue Lion Manor question (and issue)

I wanted to get the Blue Lion Manor in this patch and did so. However, after trying to get some other houses I ended up in a situation where I could only have 4 houses not the 6 I should have for getting the first coupon. As I was troubleshooting this I noticed that the houses I bought showed up as a second line for Blue Lion Manor and not what they really were. That is the problem I had and I should probably post this in problems. However, when trying to figure this out I went ahead and sold all my houses, and the Manor, and figured maybe if I had the Manor purchased last it would not glitch the way it did. However, I noticed I did not get any money back on the 1 year I paid in. My question is do you get money back? Grumpy's guide out there on the webernetz seems to state that you do, but I definitely did not get a refund of anything except the 5 contribution. I do want to get the Mansion / Manor again now that it can be my last house in an attempt to see if it works right, but I don't want to loose out on another 292M (minus a few weeks I had it). So TLDR, Do you get money back if you sell the manor? And is there a known issue with other houses not being able to be purchased when you have the mansion and having multiple line items for the mansion?
I assumed that money would come back (albeit with some penalty) as per Grumpys Giude :

With that said there was not much detail in the guide on what the refund would be, and no guarantee that would be accurate to GamezBDO, so I figured I would ask.
