GM Exiles banned my Brother Chloraphorm today. I saw the video, and apparently whoever was using the account WAS in fact using a speed hack, which has been taken care of. My brother tried to log in and found that he couldn't so he came to me and asked me if I remembered anyone playing on his character Sainted. I told him no and looked over the ban again, he didn't even have a character named Asail but we did know someone who uses that as his nickname. I called him and he admitted that he was, in fact, hacking. I don't know what your policy on this is but here's the basic scenario:

Around noonish yesterday my brother and I threw a Aion Private Server Party with our friends to celebrate our second year of gaming on private servers. We were drinking Smirnoff Ice Triple Blacks and some of them were smoking pot. We were all having a good time but at some point a person "I've already taken care of him" decided to hack on his account.

I've yet to ever have to deal with a case like this so I'm unsure how even I would go about dealing with it. He even admits that it was speed hacks, and I even found them on his desktop, so there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that they were being used, however I did take care of him and I know that it isnt going to happen again. I've known Matt since he was born, I know what kind of person he is and he IS NOT a hacker. And thats coming from the mouth of someone who's supported Gamez since 1.5

Thanks, I appreciate you trying to help, but I highly doubt they'll do anything....

Users are responsible for their accounts at all times, regardless of who is playing them.

If you are unwilling or unable to maintain the security of your account you will be held accountable for everything that happens on it. This is the incorrect platform to dispute a ban although I can tell you now that any appeal you do file through the ban panel will be denied - everyone plays by the same rules here.

Appeals are handled though the ban system. http://forum.gameznetwork.com/f63/introducing-new-ban-appeal-system-88983/

As for this 'appeal' states that 'someone' was using the account? Frankly, you are responsible for your account and any actions taken on it. If it was not your brother then he is in breach of account security and there is nothing that we can, will, or would even consider doing. Giving out your account information is never a good idea as this type of situation as well as others can arise.

It is the same case if someone gets 'scammed' by a AM Impersonator. If you give out your account information, even if they are claiming to be staff, which we would never ask for to begin with, you are then responsible for whatever happens to your items, and or your account in general if someone were to decide to log into it and hack.

I feel bad for your 'brother' though, in honesty? As you said, you had friends over and an AION party. The account may have been left logged in, and still; even so. It would be his fault for allowing another person to access his characters and play on them or use such cheats to enhance their game play unfairly.

Sadly, we most likely will not be reversing the ban on the account, and or discussing this further on the forums. If you wish to converse more about this you and or your brother (a much better solution), albeit my belief it is someone else would be slim in truth, to send me a PM with all the relevant information. (Ban ID number mainly).

Still, if the account was compromised due to information sharing, being left logged in, allowing another to just play the character to experience a different class or type of gear that they did not have available? I do doubt anything will be done.

I wish you well, and Merry Christmas despite the circumstances.
