Clerics are my favorite class to play. On my cleric, I always equip her wearing chain with a warhammer and shield, socketed with Hp until end game and then use full Magic Resist manastones. There are some people who use full Hp or even a hybrid of Hp/mres. With full anuhart cleric gear and tahabata hammer and shield all +15 you will be sitting with a little over 9k hp so I prefer full mres. Just please whatever you do, don't use magic boost no matter what anyone says to the contrary. It doesn't boost our healing and our main job is a healer. MP we also don't need as there is various ways we can use to replenish it.

As far as godstones go, try to get your hands on a silence one if you can, if not, go for a blind or paralyze.

For PvE...Some clerics like to keep a cloth set on hand to give them extra Mp for healing on bosses. This is a matter of personal preference but like I said before, there are plenty of ways to keep up your mp. Bosses have skills so you need to be prepared to heal your tank and other group members. You want to have 1 or 2 group heals and a skill like Splendor of Purification to remove debuffs from all.

For PvP...For 1 vs 1, it's all about stun, root, and run. In some cases, you will also need to use your Blinding Light skill to keep your opponent, a ranger for example, from hitting you at all. (Blind doesn't work on sorcs/sm) You want to hit your opponent with some damage while trying to keep them from damaging you too much which can be very difficult at times. I am definitely not a pro pvper, I have become a lot better at it than I was though. Basically the more you practice pvp, the easier it will become. In group pvp, it is your job to keep the others healed. You will be the first one targeted in many cases because you are the healer which sucks a lot of the time, just do your best to keep your group healed.

I also do alchemy and cooking. Both are very handy for making scrolls, pots, etc. for yourself and your group members. I make mp serum, flight scrolls, etc. for myself and others. This is also a good way to make kinah if you need to. I just feel that whatever I can do to help my group members do their job better ends up making my job as healer easier.

Hope this helped some and maybe some other clerics out there can put their experiences down as well for you.
