Can we replace the gold event with something else?

Ever since it got nerfed (idk if it was retail nerf or gamez) the probability of getting any golden item is extremely low and does not affect the game in any significant way.
In my opinion the event should be removed and replaced with something else.
What about if we have a event that increases the item drop amount by 100%? So we could grind and drop more trash loot for silver.
Instead of afking for golden items just make a event that benefits people grinding.
Or a second idea.
Replace golden items with pearl boxes so we could randomly drop 500-1000 pearls boxes when gathering/grinding.
