Cannot throw away items from inventory

I have a few items that I picked up in killing that I cannot trash from the inventory. I get the message that the code number is invalid. How to I get rid of these. (They seem to be trade items and I understand that trading has been disabled so I can't sell them to traders.)

I took a closer look and it seems that the items I mentioned show in the inventory but not in one of the empty slots. They just hang free -- so I guess it really isn't a problem game wise but an annoying visual glitch.

(I have tried re-logging but the items remain.)

Can you please share a screenshot of your inventory? Sounds like a value pack issue to me.
