Cannot update to 2.7

    I instaled Windows 7 yestreday and Aion wont work. I run it and this comes up

    But when i try to update it this comes up:

    1. id definitely turn off user account control, thats gonna get rid off the access denied bs (control panel -> users -> UAC)
    2. install windows updates, some of the aion errors were related to those missing

    also

    how did u get aion? did u copy paste it over from another pc? or redownload?

    The whole D drive was left untouched when i instaled W7 so Aion was not deleted it was untouched. And btw i dont even know where to go in c. panel bcuz im a W7 newb.

    its irrelevant :p aion doesnt run by itself, it uses functions of windows to run. open the start menu, the control panel button is there on the side (just like win xp/vista), the users menu is there too, its pretty straight forward

    also if u type windows update into the start menu search box, u can run them from there, update ur stuff then try again

    its not

    edit: ull also need directx 9.0c and .net framework 4 all over again :p since they r installed on the C drive that got formatted when u installed win 7

    install direct x 9, doesn't matter if you have 11, I use windows 7 as well

    its because aion was built on directx 9.0c and it requires it to render aion graphics. having a newer one is equivalent to having none at all, it cant use something it wasnt built on

    installing 9.0c doesnt overwrite ur 11, it complements it, adding the necessary files required to render older games
