cant make new character

Hi maybe im missing something or just dont understand how it works now, but i have 5 slots available for new characters but they all have a lock icon, i can make a new season character and i can make a trial character but i cannot use the character slots i bought with pearls, theres no straight forward create new character option

can someone please tell me what im doing wrong

i have tried searching the forum for this answer with no luck

i figured it out, i was being dumb. the slot for season character isnt just for season , its for just making a character with the option of making it a season character.
