Chanter Sucks now.. Agree?

If your wanting to kill Gladiators either work with your Chanter as stated above to find something that works or spend some time making a Sorcerer that will kill a Gladiator in a few combos. I think every class has a class that they usually lose to. Mabe in 2.0 it was swapped around a bit. (ie if you were bad at fighting Clerics before mabe now your bad at fighting Gladiators) idk just a thought.

The class that benefits the most from the stigma is the sorc and being able to actually fight and not get stunlocked doesnt make u OPed. Chanters are NOT meant to fight glads one on one. They can hold their own true but thats is NOT their highest priority.

They should focus on buffs and heals and then support attack when they can. Basically a chanter needs to understand the situation and when to sit back, heal, and let a glad or temp in their party tank and when to join in on the front lines.

 

Not at all. If you know that you should first use soul strike and have a large distance between the target, then you can come closer while the enemy is stunned, do the meteor strike and then move back for the mountain crash.

Yeah got the point. Chanters are not the best. I was a gladi and changed into a chanter, call that lame, but yeah I did^^ Chanters are fierce.

 

lol at you saying chanter is bad...
look at other servers with NO 100% chain proc rate, NO all stigma's, AND with ud working,
chanter isnt some stun till dead character now, now you actually need to LEARN how to play thhem

 

the point is chanters are not meant to go Leroy Jenkins agains a group of enemies, they simply are not made for that, thats what Glads and Temps are for and chanters and clerics are meant to keep them buffed and alive and provide additional support when necessary

 

Oh and ankle snare needs close contact. If a chanter has a 25m distance from you and does the soul strike, he can easily stun you and then use the meteor strike and mountain crash as well. Instant skills, they help a lot

 

About the chanters being weak ~ Idk if you've realised but 2k dp skills (Yustiel Protection) have been fixed and with a decent gear chanters are dealing monster damage .
Chanters absolutely do not suck ...

Yeah, you sure they can tank as well as gladis can? I've been both.

 

Considering more people are rerolling to gladiators/temps lately, a chanter's best bet for pvp action is to go with a group, and learn how to utilize your group buffs. You have no idea how OPed a group with a chanter becomes. Before 2.0 i used to solo on the chanter but now (eeeeeekkk, as soon as i see a glad i poop my panties) i kinda stopped and am focusing in group pvp. And its turning out to be pretty fun, i must admit. If you are a chanter and are trying to solo, dont even try to approach glads, just dont, with UD fixed there is almost no chance of defeating a glad that knows wat hes doing.

 

For sure, but that doesn't make chanters useless, as the thread says.
