Chanter weapons

I have played chanter for some time now. I am using tahas staff for weapon.
But has anyone tried Sheild + Warhammer build?
Dont just say no no, that will suck, but give resonable answers.

 

that depend on ur play style and ur reaction. normally when pvp or dueling i will be using staff for dmg,how ever when u are silenced and cant dispell it or blinded. i would say swtich to mace shield for better survival to ride it out before switching back to staff. i always switch to mr or att or block set in between + shield mace / staff

 

so best manastoned for warhammer and sheild are 1 ) Magic resist or 2 ) Block/parry ?

 

if u are mr set. u can try mr or block. either one is decent. provided that u have gd enough mr already. my chanter base mr was about 2185 at full.

 

Thing is with shield you'll have to stack more than block in the shield and warhammer to give it any use so a better idea would to be getting another staff and use all parry in it(don't even have to enchant it) Be sure to use focused parry.

 

yeap that is also another alternative. parrying. coz u have focused parry which add another 300 parry

 

i think the best for chanter is to use a staff with silence godstone (it must be your most powerful) and another staff with paralyze. if you want to survive and you use ur chanter to buff i think its better to use mace and shield.
