Cleric vs. Chanter?

hahaha! I lol'ed when you say you fail when you were beaten by a cleric.. chanters are quite good. Just practice more ^^

 

xD Yeah, I've killed quite a bit of Clerics. But it may be because I'm full abg :3 Also, it depends on what you socket. Like if what a Chanter or a cleric socket.

 

i main chanter but right now clerics are way better than chanters.
basically chanter stuns arent that effective anymore than what it was before.

 

clercs, they blind, if u run they root and stun and summon servants and deal periodic dmg with varius skills. chanter dont got much against them not to mention the 500+ magic boost buff and self shield buffs and instant 3k hp heal. Just my opinion.

I prefer chanters because of their ability to stun lock sorc, spirit, sins and rangers. Taking out your opponents DPS classes is key in group vs group battles. Chanter buffs also significantly improves your groups dps.

Clerics on the other hand have the ability to remove debuffs and can pack some punch, so a properly played cleric may be stronger in some situations. Clerics also attract a lot of hate, so its always fun playing as a cleric

 

Yens chanter on the other hand, could be fun

cleric is better when it comes to healing and groups but you cant ignore the chanter's buffs.

so i should say make those two characters and see what play style that suits you best.

With magic resist now breaking stuns, I'd say Cleric lol

 

i can say that chanters depends on the stun lock... so too bad if up against a glad or templar with UD..

i didnt know clerics are OP... i just made a cleric weeks ago
cos im already bored of DD type class which is already i used for months such as Ranger // Sorc // Glady // ....and one reason is ray pissed of easily when he dies >.> thats the reason also why i made a cleric....and i find it really challenging
heal debuff is its major work for and i enjoy it much ^^

lol i guess majority likes clerics, haha. But nah thx im a chanter for life :devil:, if you looking for group pvp, chanter > cleric in everyway.
(Im not ingame right now so i cant give a word per word description but ill give u the best i can remember.)
From dp skills: (i dont remember these too well but i think these r their purposes)
Stilling word => blinding up to 15 enemies, :ninja:
Word of wind => 20% more attack speed and running speed to the whole party. :kewl:
To buffs:
Forgot name of this one: 2 minute CD and blocks 50? or 55?% dmg received for 15 sec (only use on yourself) :devil:
Impreg fortress: 3 min CD you use on whole party for an extra 2k def and extra elemental defencefor 15 sec
Divine curtain: 10 min CD party buff, blocks like 60% dmg (maybe? don remember) for 15 sec
Mantras: No need to explain these
To heals: Now im not saying chanters got pro heals but if you know how to utilize them well in pvp youll be godly, too bad only have one group heal skill.
To assisting in combat: Now if your a smart chanter and follow the action carefully during a party vs party clash, you will know WHEN to stun and WHO to stun, trust me one stun can change the outcome of the battle, iits been done before. :whistling:

Now your gonna say a chanter cannot keep a full pt healed up properly, BUT thats when your party buffs come in, combination of impreg fort and divine curtain on a party DOES NOT COMPUTE, its just freakishly OPed and you wont even need to heal anyone, by the time some1 will need a heal other party will be wiped.

Anyways these are just SOME of the things u could be doing with a chanter. I havent played a cleric for too long, but for me in group pvp, cleric dies rly fast since its the first one targeted. Chanters r targeted too but thats y we got our shield buffs to tank for 15 seconds until rest of your party (if they got any brains at all) comes to help you out.
