This is not a good idea. You have got a beefy CPU there, but the GPU will bottle neck you.

Why not ditch the idea of using 2 crappy video cards and use the 260$ and get 1 great video card to match the CPU output?

Here is what i would go with:

    260$
EVGA 012-P3-1470-AR GeForce GTX 470 (Fermi) 1280MB 320-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

    270$
EVGA 012-P3-1472-AR GeForce GTX 470 (Fermi) SuperClocked 1280MB 320-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

Or something equivalent, that 1 card above will eat up the 2 GTS 450s you have listed and still have room for left overs along side of your nice CPU.

2 is not always better then 1 :).

    NICE^^

For the case i suggest you get this one instead:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811119196
It has better airflow and helps your PC to last Longer :D (This is the case i used for my 1st rig. and yeah...its BIG ^^) ITS NOT THE LOOK'S THAT MATTERS, ITS THE PERFORMANCE!

    FOR THE RAM -
LOOKING AT THE PARTS YOU POSTED..GO FOR A MINIMUM OF 4GIG ddr3 RAM OR 6GIG ddr3 RAM. it would help if you could pm me how much is your Budget.

FOR YOUR COOLER- GO FOR THIS ONE^^ its cheap quiet , 100% copper and one of the best fans^^ kept my i7 running 4 cores at 4.2ghz without any problems. max idle was 60 degrees.
(It looks small but this is one big heavy fan! so becareful when installing it)
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835118046

heres a picture of my old rig^^
    [IMG]

xD. It weighed somewhere arround 20kilos when everything was installed)

    HERES MY PC NOW ^^
    [IMG]
Hehehe i used a black cardboard to cover the chords ^^
    [IMG]

now it weighs arround 30 kilos lol!

WHEN BULDING A PC DO NOT RUSH THINGS. MAKE SURE YOU GET THE RIGHT PARTS (FOR EXAMPLE: AMD MOTHERBOARDS SUPPORT ONLY AMD CPUS/ INTEL MOTHERBOARDS SUPPORT ONLY INTEL CPUS)

-nice and slow is the way to go, rushing things is a big no no! -

    hope this helps you Alente^^

lame... get a thermaltake full tower, ur gunna get pissy with just a mid tower, the size of the graphix card etc and wiring will annoy you. i will help you if u need it but other than that, you're on your own.

i've had a thermaltake lanfire mid tower and thermaltake shark full tower (black) with thermaltake liquid cooling :]

the question is what are you going to be using it for.. as aion doesn't require the best graphics card :]

I'd prefer to use it for higher-tier games than Aion especially in future.

People are raging in my msn now over different graphics cards while I cringe and wonder about cost/space/cooling x_X

lol i have this case. its a pretty good case. the only screws u have to worry about r the screws to take off the side panel. everything else is pretty much a clip on/off thing. i had just enough room to squeeze a 5870 in there, if you're gona get a big video card then be sure to measure the length of the card and check where the wiring goes (top or side). it has just enough room for everything. the 2 metal plates at the front can get a lil annoying. if u use ur cd drive alot cus u'd have to open up the plates. and it comes in with a cleaning cloth?

I would like to use both my monitors with HDMI which does mean cards in crossfire/SLI

My main concern is will I have the space/cooling for two cards - especially the meatier ones.

When in doubt go over budget o.o use credit cards if need be... 500 isn't much and can make the world of difference in comp parts.

Just go with what i posted and you wont have any problems with cooling, SLI, space or pricing.

As for the case the one you have is fine, a full tower would be better and something that can last forever.

Everything but the video card you listed in first post are all great for the budget and will last you a good while beyond Aion, just rethink the GPU approach and your set.

the length of that card is 4.376" H x 9.5" L. from what i remember there was at least an 11" L so it should fit. there hsould also be enough room to SLI it with this case. i would go with what Furious suggested. if anything u could always work your way up to SLI this card. this card alone should be better than the gts 450 SLI. if your're still sketchy then i could open up my case and give u an exact measurement.

The case you listed provides a side vent and large fan to keep the 2 GTX470s cool just fine.

With all the new fancy cases now days cooling realy isnt an issue any more.

Ya that case is fine for all parts mentioned here, it is small but not a problem as its equipped with proper cooling. Also i personally prefer top mounted PSUs as heat raises, bottom mount PSUs = more heat for the GPUs above them = :crying:.

As for the CPU cooler, im sure that cooler will be fine for the budget, if you plan on overclocking or extreme usage i would recommend a bit better heatsink.

Just go with the stock heatsink and fan that is supplied with your AMD CPU, like i said you shouldnt need to upgrade the CPU heatsink/fan unless you are over clocking or extreme usage or just want a better look.

Feel free to ad me to MSN if ya wanna chat in real time about it :).
