Console access!

So i'm trying to put my client in 64bit and enabling the console
(Guide: Using the Aion Console - AionSource.com - Powered by the Tower of Eternity)

The thing is, Via this, It uses the NCsoft launcher, So once i'm IG, pressing the Pause breaker button does not open the console.

I am wondering if any of you guys know how I could work around this?

Just so i'm clear, Using the console is for no means for hack's or anything else, Only to add certain ''tweaks'' to my client ( FoV imrpoved, Less screen lagg, Higher quality graphics etc...). It is currently being used by players on Retail!

paste this to notepad and save as gamezaion.bat, put it in ur aion folder and run the game

it removes client side flight restrictions (so ur only really affected by server side) and enables the console again (did in the past, havent tried in 2.7)

 

On my client system.ovr dnst exist...I maked that what u sayd but im looking for system.ovr to do that from ur link

 

the system.ovr was removed after 2.5.0.3, dont bother looking for it, ncsoft bypassed it already, thats why u need a custom bat launcher. look at the content, ull see it takes care of what system.ovr used to do

if u use the bat launcher then yea it should work, as i said havent tried it in 2.7. it worked back in 2.6 when the console was disabled by default. i havent played for months now

Just do what smartik1 said and if you are using 2.7.0.1 client downgrade it to 2.7.0.0... btw no idea from where those erros apear anyways. Good Luck!

every game has errors that r displayed in the console its just that as long as they arent critical u wont even see it affecting ur game. really lol try that with any game that has a console (half life 2, gothic 1-3, l4d etc)

edit: btw a lot of the errors r caused by us with client edits like forcibly allowing skins that shouldnt be allowed and such. some of the items.pak items force a mesh change when applied as a skin, we disabled it to allow these items to be stored in the warehouse/traded and such

Erm, to Downgrade what do I have to do?

u can try daaxies bin32 folder, just replace urs with hers and then edit version.ini to 2.7.0.0
downgrade.zip

i never tested hers but ill trust her

and what about 64bit? if u mean a 64bit client ncsoft took that away in 2.7 coz it was "unsupported and bugged". in fact i think they r morons coz they could have kept it optional as it was in the past and let people who had no issues with it keep using it

either way, u need a different launcher for that which gamez never had. aion runs perfectly fine on 64bit windows but there is no 64bit client atm

I was reading a lot about the x64b client, it's sad they took it off. I don't understand why, KOR servers has a x64 client é_è

 

well kor developed it, ncsoft is just stealing it from them they barely know what they r doing and decided they dont wanna deal with it coz they cant handle the issues with it

id say for retail u can add parameters to the ncsoft launcher since u dont need a custom IP for that, follow the steps they gave u in that guide

***New Steps since 2.7***
6. Right Click on Aion in the NCsoft Launcher list
7. Select "Properties"
8. Under "Extra Command Line Parameters (Advanced)" type: -DEVMODE "con_disable_console =0"

it does the same thing as the bat launcher but for the retail IP. u could make a retail bat launcher if u wanted but ud have to know the server IP and port number which i doubt u have. just follow their steps, its simpler

Does anybody else have a drastic drop in fps when using the console? :3 (-30-40fps)

 

Not really, unless you push FOV all the way up (>140).

 

heres a trick: if u wanna use some console commands every time u run the game, just add them to the bat launcher instead so they are automatically used for you ^^ just follow the same format the other bat launcher commands use
