[contest] banners!

but really. i think it should be above 150 kb for a decent banner xD
you can't put much details into it if it's that low.
needs to be at least 500kb - 3 mb. then there would be some effort people actually put in
(if you try to put a simple one with smooth animation, it's well above 150 kb)

 

I like this banners, the effect is nice for the one.

 

haha nah, im not doing anything wrong. im just putting too much work into it which gives it a bigger size >.<

 

xD the graphics are more smooth that's why and i added different effects that zombie didn't add. his are just fade in and fade out.
maybe i can make a promo video instead. xD

but yah, these are just going to be my entries, im not gonna think about it too much, i can edit these if they like my design, that's all ^^. and yes, if they do pick it, i will lower the size as much as possible. or they could just use mine if they like it for the sites that allows my size. xD

I voted for these banners. Very cool, very professional.

Other authors using GIF Animation is very bad, animations look like amateur, kids.

 

You do realize the last image Cuddles has on there is a .gif file right? Don't criticize people and call them kids if they use .gif files, it was a medium that was allowed to be used for the contest. I myself did use gif files because I thought it was catchy and simple.

On the other note I do like Cuddles entries, clean and very nice.

When was the last time you saw an animated image in a JPEG format?.. Do your research.

Adding to that, using the GIF format allows for a smaller file size due to the compression, considering they do have a limit on it.

Well at least we have spent time in doing someone to help the Gamez Admin, were are your banner's huh? Before you start criticizing other peoples banners, why don't you try to make one yourself, for all we know you mightn't even be able to make a professional looking .gif yourself.

Hey guys. Oscar award jury, they don't produce movies, but movies producers need them to estimate movies. Another example: attendance don't know how to make the movies, but they can said "this movies is bad", right? Can you say "picture of this artist is bad" although you don't know anything about art? It's normal guys, not rude! Ok ok, I'm so sorry if you think I rude.

GTFO, .gif help to catch someones attention more than just a .jpeg file, thats why they made "MOTION PICTURES", and if ur not going to make a banner then dont put little snide comments on others work. And this is the freaking internet, not the Oscars.

I just voted few minutes ago, and was surprised to see that on XTREMETOP100 and GAMESITES200, the GameZ AioN server had one of my banners ^^. Actually, it`s the one that I found to be the best from those 4, the composition, straight-round shapes, colors and lightness makes it different. Glad that some of my work came to staff attention.
