Crafting Limits? Dafuq?

Ok, so I am kind of an Obsessive-Compulsive person.. as you guys can see, I'm obsessed with Forts, and I am also obsessed with completing my character...

Now taking that into consideration, whenever I cap a crafting skill, I try to get as many recipes as possible, in order to learn everything I can for that skill...

so Just now I went to check the Abyss NPC's that according to Alente were working, and they are working just fine now... so I started buying all the crafting recipes for handicrafting... I was almost done, and then I get this message:

I was NOT aware of that, and I actually need to get some necessary recipes to craft advanced siege weapons...

Is there any way to remove the recipe limit or to un-learn recipes???

 

Having more than 1600 patterns causes severe character instability, and also makes you unable to login.

As to unlearning recipes, though, we'll have to look into it. I'm not even sure its possible to be honest

 

u can just click delete recipe when crafting i beleave, should be button left

 

The option to delete a recipe will be available in 3.0 before that not sure if its possible.

alright, you can't unlearn them before 3.0.. but is there any way to reset my character's recipe list from the db? if so, who would I need to talk to for that? thanks a lot for the help btw

 

it is possible by wiping the full list of recipes from an entire profession. i know puddles already arranged it for someone who was helping me test stuff. so yea it can be done but nobody is really gonna wanna go through his whole list and keep whatever he wants so as long as he doesnt mind losing all of them its possible

as for crafting annoyances, rather than 1600 design limit, im more annoyed bout the fact that u cant master all professions on a single character theres a retail cap for how many u can master and i really dont wanna bother making 6 characters coz of this bs

 

I think just from wiping all of the patterns like Smartik said.

PM me a char name/server/profession if you would like that to be done. Otherwise I'll do what I can to look into it.

Can it be also done to lvl down the mastery of certain profession i cant lvl my handcrafting its stuck at 499 coz i already have 2 mastery

 

that, I know is possible in 3.0 (to forfeit a mastery). but i'm not sure if it's possible through the database, I wouldn't think so, but that's just me...
