Create on both sides?

I'm completely new to Aion but a friend of mine suggested I try it on this server.

I know on retail you can only create characters from one side and not both.
Are you able to have characters on both sides here?

 

Yes, and you can tranfer items between characters via Account warehouse

Just to make it clear - no. You'll have to spend 1500 vote points (credits) to get the second race.

1. i remember this wasnt possible for months now, only the oldest players who already had a character from each race could do it, new people couldnt make both
2. i heard items can no longer be passed to the other race through account warehouse, they dont show up on the other side, only on the one of the race that put them in

 

Actually if there is no character on the server the account warehouse is wiped so even if you create the same race again, your items are lost. Also, even with proof, there is no refunding. This was a feature and putting stuff in account warehouse, and switching the race was considered an exploit >.>

 

thats not what i meant

the guy im talking about already had a character of each race, he put items in the account warehouse, logged the other race, there was nothing there, he logged back and the items were there

no you cant

unless you .. for example, create an elyos on Siel then create an asmo on Lumiel
Use 1.5k credits to transfer your asmo character from lumiel to siel and there, you have both asmo and elyos in 1 account 1 server.
You will also be able to freely create either races if you have both races in a server.

 

Whoa whoa whoa, everyone is confusing me here.

I have both Ely/Asmo on one account and in one server, and I can switch fine. Have there been any changes I'm unaware of?

 

It appears that ONLY people that have a new account can't create on both sides, i have them since ever and im just fine -.-

 

They enabled free creation of either races back then.
Think it was after 2.5 when they disabled it

so if you made an elyos and asmo before 2.5, youre lucky -.-

or if you were granted hard motherfking luck and was able to create the opposite race after 2.5,
^happened to me, deleted my elyos, lost the privilege FFFUUUUU

 

I left at 2.5, so that seems right o.o
