    The quest will not proceed
    Participants must go down the stairs and enter Arena.
    Only conversation messages that repeat infinitely appear.

    Were you in a party while trying to complete the quest? Also, if you lose in the first battle, you must give up the quest and proceed again (they disappear after 10 minutes so be quick and pay attention).

    Don't spam R's instead of reading the quest instructions. It's a pretty simple quest if you know what needs to be done :p
