Decisions, decisions.....

I have been playing chanter for 3 years and I kind quitted this class since the last few updates. I moved to cleric and SW and I'm really happy with it~ You can nuke so many butts, as much as you want! Of course, it would be very useful if you know what you are doing otherwise your butt will be the one which will hurt in the end.

 

Well I've made up my mind! I will play as a cleric as main character, Templar and Songweaver as secondary classes =) I really appriciate your suggestions and oppinions and since I couldn't pick one I will play with 3 different characters (may be 4 including the Chanter class, but 3 for now are more than enough)!
Again you helped me a lot and I am really, really grateful!

 

I guess, since youre on siel, it will be both DPS and Support? Have fun with it, Im sure you'll have a lot of fun!

 

Even being a cleric on Siel, I hardly ever used my damaging abilities during fights.. xD Unless I was 1v1, of course.

Because she was used mostly in group pvp and for that.. using dps abilities can be very hard when trying to keep your group alive vs other full stigma groups xD the burst is real.

Once you are good at cleric you know when you can switch off from healing and help dps a bit...ofc that being said your dps wont do much unlesss you are using pvp access which most clerics arnt doing anyways lol....Dont forget you have hallowed strike and blind it can also help keep you and others alive.

 

Ani if you are going combat use Principal set, for support, use arbiter, try to use crit+macc to land stuns and also use crit+acc. That's all you need to know probably you already know the stigma trees, if not whisper me. For support mr is not a good build because rm is not usefull as the other versions... but for support you can still go rm+ full.

 

On the contrary this thread is NOT stupid and is fully worthy of my attention. Picking a class is a very serious matter and it will define your character forever. Do you want to be a badass, fearless warrior and charge into the fray to flood the battlefield in blood? Or do you prefer to take a more strategic and tactical approach to battle and stay back to be more of a supporter.

Or perhaps you are a leader who wants to lead from the front while you rally your comrades behind you to follow your example as you charge first into the action, but still keeping a level head so you can make important strategic decisions.

Or maybe you just want to play songs or drive a big mech thing.


Why back when I was in Dragon slaying classes we were tasked with choosing our "main weapons". These would be the weapons we would focus on and train with the most. They included various kinds of axes, bows, swords, spears, scythes, halberds, armored vembraces, picks, cleavers, falcatas, rhompalias, sabers, and many others. It was a daunting choice so us students practiced with them until we each settled on one we liked. After that we would have to use them to fight a skeleton horde and a dragon.

Though we were still little kids so it was weaker skeletons and a younger weaker dragon, but it was still a serious test and we had to decide what weapon would be best for us based on your individual skills, strengths, weaknesses, personalities, and fighting style. My classmates soon chose theirs but I couldn't make that decision.

I loved them all. So when test time came my classmates each fought with their selected weapons and did decent enough to pass. When asked what my weapon was I just said "all". I then took all the weapons and launched them at the skeleton horde using a catapult, not to directly harm the zombies but to make my "killing field". It was kind of like The Infinite Blade Words from the Fate anime series only without all the flashy lights. I then laughed with joy as I rushed headlong into the fray, using each weapon to destroy all the zombies. It was glorious, I used each and every weapon, making it an extension of my body as I laughed maniacally while cutting down my foes. When all the skeletons were destroyed the dragon came.

I was experiencing happiness never seen and in my haste to fight the dragon I thew aside ALL my weapons and rushed at the dragon with my bare hands. The instructors were worried about me and tried ending the test but I wouldn't have it. I jumped at the dragon as it took off and fought it with my bare hands in the skies above the training academy. I tried punching it but since I was only 5 or 6 at the time I didn't quite have the strength to hurt it, but then I realized it had sharp pointy fangs in it's mouth. So I dived into it's mouth and started kicking at a fang. After a few kicks I managed to get a fang loose and rammed it down the dragon's throat.

Now while this would have been a fantastic end to my story we're not there yet. The dying dragon was falling over the ocean and flew right into the mouth of a kaiju! Now things were really getting messy as the military and jaegers were starting to be called out but I would be damned if I was gonna let those bastards steal my kill! Using my dragon fang, I chipped away at a kaiju fang, knocked it loose and dived into the kaiju's stomache.

Now by now you may be calling "BULLSHIT! YOU WOULD NEVER DIVE INTO THE STOMACH AS THE STOMACH ACID OF A KAIJU IS EXTREMELY STRONG AND WOULD MELT YOU! " And yes you would have a point, but I landed on some debris or dead animal bodies and managed to avoid the stomache acid. Well kind of. I then slipped and fell in and it hurt like hell. My skin was burning but I needed that acid! I managed to climb back out and the acid chewed away the large kaiju fang enough that I could whittle away at it with the dragon fang to make a sword. I then took my new hastily made kaiju sword in one hand and my dragon fang in the other to climb back up the the walls of the esophagus of the kaiju and up the nasal passage to the brain. But then I realized I need to kill the heart first so I dived back in cussing and cursing because I lost valuable seconds and those military and jaeger bastards were on their way to KS ME!

So here I am back in the stomach, and I use the vibrations from the heart beats to track the heart and cut my way through it. I managed to get to the heart chamber and had to fight some parisitic organisms so I cut my way through them and start cutting away the veins and arteries leading to the heart. After I cut those, I cut open the heart and was drenched in blood. I had no time to clean myself off though as I then cut my way to the brain. The kaiju was going berserk but it still wasn't dead yet and its thrashing about made the climbing much harder, but I finally managed to get to the brain. After cutting through various nerves I finally started cutting up the brain itself and killed the monster. I cut my way out of the eye just as the jaeger team got on the scene and yelled out "HAHAHA I GOT THE KILL SO IN YOUR FACE!" I then told them to make themselves useful and give me a ride back to the academy but they were assholes and just cussed me out before leaving. I then had to swim back to the academy part way before a helicopter picked me up where I was taken back to the infirmary at the academy where I was supposed to be treated for my wounds and burns from the stomach acid but I had already healed. My body had a reaction to the acid and the blood and thus my skin, muscles, and bones became much stronger and harder than normal and I gained a healing factor, which really comes in handy.

I then took my kaiju fang to the forge where I had the smith use the finest meteoric iron to to forge it around parts of the fang while the mages changed spells and I focused my energy to create my elemental kaiju sword that only I or my allies can use.

So the moral of this story is that you should try all the classes you're interested in to get a feel for them but do realize that if you really want to be successful you're going to have to focus full time on one. It's fine to dabble in the others every now and then but you need a "main" that you can fall back to when shit gets serious and you need to kill that army of demons that's about to attack that orphanage and you gotta kill them fast with weapons you're familiar with.

As for the class be a spiritmaster. They have so many fear spells especially with the removal of the stigma system that you can keep an enemy feared indefinitely if you're good enough and have the right build. Then just keep them feared and just run around and spam emotes at them. Don't even try to kill them, just keep them feared. Eventually they will get so pissed off that they will take their computer and throw it out the window where it will hit someone walking by and then they will get sued and have to go to jail and thus cant' come back and play and even if they weren't a criminal they just destroyed their comp and can't play anyways.

I readed every bit of your post and I admire your imagination and creativity! It is quite interesting and amusing! I did laugh my ass off while reading it and I got your point =) The Cleric class is my class and I will play with it =)
By the way, you can become a really good writer, you know! I'm serious when I'm typing this! If you write a book I'll be the first one to buy it! Really! Creativity is what shapes people and makes them different!

 

I wish you were on Elyos side though, we could have a hot cup of chocolate while reading books on a rainy day. Stroll beside the shoreline watching the sunset. And best part is to lay down on a blanky doing nothing under the stars. <3

 

It is tempting indeed, but I prefer a cup of the best english tea, a really interesting book, warm room with awesome view, fireplace with dancing fire in it and cold, snowy day! Also few of my favourite chocolate cookies....
Or a nice sunny day with my friends in the forest, or swimming in the lake nearby...
Or a traveling around the country... just for the trip.. no sightseeing, nothing else.
And at the night, in the bed with my love <3 :blushes:
