Direct x?

You cannot run Aion with the version of DirectX currently installed. aion requires the Direct X version released after June,2008 You can download the correct version from Aion Online: The Official Fantasy MMORPG Website. ??? My computer was just purchased a month ago and I'm almost 100% positive that it has the most recent version of direct x. I have searched the Aion website and found nothing that allows me to get the direct x download so could send one send me a link of some sort so I can get this and begin playing :C

 

I had the same crap, i tried updating my direct x but i had a newer version than the 2008 one. Press Start -> on the search bar type dxdiag.exe and open it. You should see there what your DirectX Version is. If you got a new version then i guess you should do what i also did. I opened CProgram Files/NCSoft/Aion/bin32 and deleted some direct x file but i am not sure which. Would you please take a screenshot of the files that start from the letter D in that folder so i can remember?
It's not the d3d8thk one i guess cause i still have it. (Was something like d3dx or d3dx9)
Note that My operating system is windows vista, i don't know if it's diffirent in other operating systems so make sure you keep a backup of the files just in case it doesn't fix the issue.

p.s. In case it does not work, let me know and i'll search up for the latest direct x version for your operating system. If you decide to do it yourself, make sure you're downloading from the microsoft page, other pages may not be safe.
