    this "poll" result has 13 results out of several thousand people and its not even that great of a majority. yes he has a say coz he would have to code it.

    nobody said u didnt have a right to ur opinion, he just doesnt want it abused and neither do i. people use this excuse way too often when they cant have their way

    @Petro nothing contradictory, i said i dont wanna see it in all my posts lol. u said its useful to know if people like a topic or not, just said thats why u have a poll, to find this out

    Haters would dislike your threads/posts. You could say,hey but there are rules..but yea,rules not always apply and some would abuse the dislike function for sure..So idk.

    I remember in a thread where I just simply liked someone's post *your post* and got bashed by someone *you know who* through her post. LOL! Imagine how others take the like button seriously, what more if there is a dislike button? People like those I am talking about will be like, "Oh look at that, **** disliked the thread/my post, why? Because blah blah". I see it much more provocative to start a flame unless the authorities will set a rule regarding this like, if you get disliked, don't you dare talk about it nor ask or else you will get a warning. I am foreseeing as well that maybe some will abuse this kind of feature *just like the Reputation which has negative and positive options*. If someone owned you in a post, time to call some friends in-forum and spam that someone's post the dislikes...

    Nah, not sure if I agree or not. I guess if this will be implemented I will be more quiet since I am sure some will take it too personal and just dislike my post even if I just said LOL!

    The Like Button helps just as much as the Dislike button does, i've been a mod in several Forums, i know what i'm telling you.
    As long as there are the appropriate rules of course...
    And i'm talking about rules like: Instead of spamming a thread you like with "Thanks", you can press the Like button instead.
    Unless of course you like having in your thread spammers who try to increase their post count and only say stuff like "cool", "nice", "awesome", "thx", "thanks", "thank you", etc. Flooding.

    imo there is no reason to add a dislike button to stuff. the forum dont need more negative karma.
    and like many ppl pointed out. online has to many trolls especially gamez forum where if u have someoen that "hates" u he or she will dislike everything =)

    It actually is my decision. This section it's not to create a poll with a suggestion and if everyone votes yes it will be implemented, it's just to post suggestions and discuss the pros/cons and conclude if implementing would benefit the community or not.

    By "avoid problems" i meant not following the forum rules and getting warned/infracted.

    Base on the attitude of most of the members in this forum they tend to go to the idea with what their friends here thinks more than understanding logically what others wants to say. So if one of their friends don't like your opinion they'll just thumbs down on you without actually arguing in a logical way.

    Putting a dislike button discourages arguments. Arguments which in one way or another could be bad or good. Bad when things go into flaming but still good for you are able to hear other people's opinion and what they are actually thinking. It actually sometimes gives people a peek on the persons ability to judge, to comprehend and importantly the chance to understand the person. For me personally I like reading how people argue in this forum or how they react to my post whenever I write or raise my opinion it gives me a chance to evaluate myself if what I was thinking is wrong or sometimes I learn from this people that yeah this thinking is right or this way of thinking is wrong.

    Facebook isn't a page in which you post things publicly... having a Dislike button there would make no sense as the content you upload is only meant to be seen by friends. Still, wouldn't harm if there was one.

    @Lautaro
    That's right, it's your decision wether you're going to implement this or not, i agree that suggestions are as you said made to discuss in the pros/cons and conclude if implementing would benefit the community or not, the point however is to do what the community likes if you want to keep it. In our case of course, noone seems to care so.. just lock this if you can please, thanks.
