Do I have to re-download the game?

Hi everyone,
My question pertains to whether or not I have to re-download the entire game, despite having the Steam version.

I have downloaded the most recent patch using Google Drive, following the instructions from the 'Connect' portion of the website, having set the game folder as my Steam/Common/Black Desert folder, but it seems to be trying to be trying to download something huge, and doing a really poor job at it, the launcher.

Am I right to suspect that it's attempting to re-download the entire game, despite having the Steam version installed? I downloaded the 8GB patch file, why isn't that enough?

Yeah I am sorry to say, but the version that we use on GamezBD is a unique game version, so you will have to download the GamezBD version of it. You can however skip the prolonged downloading through the launcher by using one of the alternative downloading methods: http://forum.gameznetwork.com/threads/download-mirrors-client-v2308-community-provided.210022/

I suggest that you keep a copy of the game somewhere always ready, that way whatever happens to the version you are playing, you will always have a backup copy so you will not need to download it again.
