I dont consider giving your gm account info to your gf and letting her log in your gm account breaking a minor rule as you say. I've told you many times you put me in a very bad position to tell me that info when I was Admin and not expect me to tell Carl. Carl told me to demote you for breaking this rule as well as not doing your gm work. Towards the end you had become inactive a bit but you had also said you were having problems running Aion on your computer.

Despite this, when you were active you were a damn good gm. If you've got the problems solved running Aion, this community would be lucky to have you back on staff. I can say from working with you before that you were one of the best gms, always trying to be friendly and helpful, and you take no shit from other staff members.

Goodluck Zee on getting the position back.

 

He had Daaxie on his AM Char, and apparently Daaxie did something while on his AM. Zee confided to Ashtar about this, but when Daaxie did stuff on Zee's AM Character [Don't know specifically which stuff] Ashtar felt the need to tell Carl about this matter, and so she did.

And that's how Zee lost his title.

 

The only thing she did on my AM character was like answering questions , and checked an account name for a speedhacker I tracked , when I couldn't log in due to computer issues ...

Most GMs are fails here. You will agree with this, I know you will.

Yeh, Im aware of who applies for GM positions and I see every now and then all those nabs who are recruited or if you prefer 'hired' to be a GM. The thing here is that most are without any previous GM experience and they learn how-to-be-a-GM, but thats just sad when there are people around here with knowledge and the experience of GM.

Admins should show pay more attention on people who can offer good quality service to the community, hire all those who are in position to reply on threads wiht ingame issues, investigate hack reports when the vid-proofs are of bad/low quality and then judge/decide based on real evidence after spending some time on every case. Admins should avoid hiring people who got poor knowledge of Aion and the GM position.

I'd agree with you that community should have the power to vote -and this vote should be considered by Admins- for the GMs they want to see here. I'd also suggest to have a rating system which will give the chance to the community to judge and rate all Staff members based on their activity level, how helpful and professionals they are.

But meh, things like those will never be done on Gamez simply because Karissa thinks that her Staff system is working perfectly like a well oiled machine and Carl just... wells... he rarely bothers to hire GMs himself, he usually promote SAMs and HAMs.

 

honestly i kinda feel offended right now lol(maybe i should not have replied to you dunno O.O). you are kinda right but thats why these people are amt's first, they learn all basics(and even though, their description should be enough to be hired i suppose)

 

I think the way the system works is pretty flawed.

If Carl wants quality AMs I'd reckon he should have them post an application with a template corresponding more by personality traits and etc (since after all, we want AMs with a stable personality, vast knowledge on the server as well as interpersonal skills).

Whoever passes the application phase SHOULD attend an online interview with the man himself. If the person before him does cohere with what his application says he is, THEN should be be given the AMT tag.

But then again, that's just me.

Edit: Oh, and a monthly evaluation report per staff member won't hurt. To keep quality members, of course.

Seriously, when you got experienced people who have been GMs in that past and they are not hired, but all those kids who write in their application in style: 'I will help to catch hackers, dupers and do events', they got hired for no skills y just the 'good looking' it sad.

Honestly when you will go to give an interview for a job and you will say those -I will help with this and that- words, you will be still looking for a job

When you apply for a GM position you should have a certain list with all those things that you can offer for all the time that you will remain a GM. Why is that? Because there are many GMs around who go inactive after they got hired and have made sure that they won't get fired by kissing ass. People around here forget that as long as you got the Golden name you hvae to do what you were hired to do. The Golden name is not for the look but for the ability to have the power top help even more than you could help from the position as simple member. Just look at the current GMs list and then look how many of them are active on forums with helpful replies and solutions on people's problems. Look how many are online everyday and how many events they host.

What I see is that they are 5-6 active GMs who really do their job and the rest are just being the Golden Boys for the lolz. Sorry but this is how things are.

RL is not excuse for inactivity because on Pservers GMs are being recyclied all the time.

 

I dunno what you was like as an AM, so i can't say i know much. Anyway, Good Luck, i think you'll need it with the state Gamez is in right now.

And about all your post. I think AMT works and its good, cause not all we knew about commands or stuff like that (i didnt know at least) and being and AMT help me to understand and use them in a correctly way. And i think that maybe there are some people who already know about those commands and are not GM its for some reason and some people that dont know how is to be an GM but they are chosen, its for other things. Like a good personality or patience, and i have to agree that ALL should know game staff, specially Gamez stuff cause gamez is unique and have a lot of things that works in different way than others servers or even retail. But we cant know everything about the game, we also need to search and inform about some stuff (specially quest x.x).
