downgrade help

Hi guys, I tried downloading the aion fix that was posted in the one of the guides because i kept getting otcbuildclient32 errors.. I followed the instructions and succesfully replaced the files. The problem is whenever i start the launcher it then tells me to update using the ncsoft launcher.. so i cant really open the program.. I tried updating and it then gave me the same otc error.. help please.. =(

 

oh boy...why do i have the feeling u used the 2.7 -> 2.6 guide >.> lol. people cant read

ill edit the downgrade thread to say its outdated lol, its not meant for 2.7.0.1 clients, it was for when retail went 2.7 while we were 2.6. using it now could really screw up ur client lol

well to give u a little background.. i've played on this server before and now i decided to go back.. so the client that i have is whatever is on the gamez site.. then i just updated everything and stuff.. tried the downgrade and upgrade and the ncsoft launcher is still asking me to update.. =(

just disable automatic updates. yes it will ask u to update because RETAIL is 2.7.0.1

we r 2.7.0.0 so just ignore the bs from the ncsoft launcher and use the gamez launcher to run ur 2.7.0.0 client lol

 

i guess u should stop using the ncsoft aion launcher and use the gamez one? x.x

 

people get confused coz they dont know the ncsoft launcher does not reflect the status of our server. most even have autoupdating on so when they run it, it updates to 2.7.0.1 by itself. people should really turn this off in the settings

 

Sorry guys, it's either im really lost or something else is wrong.. i did turn off the automatic updates from the ncsoft launcher and im pretty sure im using the gamez launcher rather than the other one.. still asking me to update!! waahhh! ='(

 

anyway.. i have to run an errand today, so i'll get back with you guys later in a few hours! i really wanna get this fixed.. thanks =(

 

would help if u could be more specific or link screenshots, tells us a lot more ill be asleep in a few hours but daaxie can get on ur pc through teamviewer and fix it for u xD shes reliable ^^

install it or just run it from the exe, pm her the ID and a randomly generated pass, she will connect to ur desktop (see what u see) and interact with it. it has a built in chat if u need to talk

 

guyssss, for some unknown reasons (maybe due to my fixing upgrading and downgrading) my client is working perfectly fine now! i won't be needing anymore help regarding this matter! all your efforts are greatly appreciated! =D
