Eating food you never tried before

    How do you response to these situations? Do you become more cautious or just go straight for it?

    I can't help but be very cautious to something I never ate, I literally glare at it for a few seconds before I start rotating it in different angles and I'll then test the taste by licking the surface, if from this point it seems, good I'll eat it. How do you handle it?

    I just get straight into it. 8)

    Rarely do I find food to be disgusting.. EXCEPT! Bittermelon. Holy crap that things disgusting.

    i smell it first, then give it a small bite and if i like it then i eat it normally.

    I ask one 'What is this?' If i'm with someome, ofc.

    But if i dont have anybody to ask, i slowly eat a fragment of the food, really inspecting the food's contents with my tongue.
    Usually the edge of it.
