This brilliant tutorial Couch Art's comity I show us like to create an excellent effect of smoke using only Adobe Photoshop

    Part 1

    1. It creates a new image, does not import the size.

    2. Make the color of bottom black.

    3. It creates a new cap, selects the tool " Polygonal lasso tool " and creates an abstract figure similar to that of the image that exists rightly under this text.

( Really it is not important if you have used color but do not make it too dark, it experiments with it)

    Part 2

Already we can start marking the clearest parts of our smoke

    4. It selects the tool "Dodge" and do that the size of the paintbrush is about "50" and the value "Range" put it in "hihglights".

    5. This tool uses in the corners and the vertexes of your figure.

    6. Later, it selects the tool " Burn tool " and use her in the interior zones. You must have something similar to this:

    Part 3

In this point we will do that it looks like a smoke.

    7. Go to " Filter>> Distort>> Wave " and put these values:

    - Generators "5"
    - Wavelength "10" / "120"
    - Amplitude "5" / "35"
    - Scale at " 100 % " for both.

    8. After used credit filter "Wave" sees to " Edit>> Fade-Wave " and put the opaqueness to " 50 % "

    9. This method repeats several times until one sees better.

    Part 4

To do that this effect remains even better you will have to realize the operations " Distort, Resize " and change the "Blending Modes".

Finally, to do it of several colors instead of the same tone, do a new cap and use the tool "Airbrush" on the wished place. Once done, put the "Blending Mode" of this cap to "Overlay".

Here you have it, an effect of simple and effective smoke.
