Error with the new itempak 2.7

Hey all.

I know this error might already been noticed, but I want to know what to do. I can't really understand those solutions in the threads with the same error.

So, I install Aion, patch the gamez launcher and it runs fine, but when I change the Items.pak to 2.7, when I start the game, it goes to the black screen with the logo on it and it gives me the OTC build error.

If I change the items.pak to the old one, it works fine.

I want to know if there's something I can do. .-.

PS: I don't know how to downgrade to patch 2.6 because when I install Aion again it goes straight to 2.7.0.1 e.e

 

first of all u dont wanna downgrade to 2.6 coz then u wont be able to login, this is a 2.7 server. the only downgrade people do is from 2.7.0.1 to 2.7.0.0 since the latest isnt completely supported and some people have problems with it. either way, the version of the items.pak is not important so if the 2.6 or 2.5 items.paks worked for u, feel free to use them. the only difference is that u wont see the very latest items

as for the error, there r more possibilities. 1 of them is ur operating system, most people with win xp never get one to run due to the way the converted data is stored. another problem is when people have an EU version of the client (rare but some have it, ur client folder as well as in ncsoft launcher would specifically say aion EU/Europe)

from the nature of ur error id say delete anything in ur data\usa\items folder and just extract the 2 xml files inside, then try run it again and see if it works

 

Well, my operating system is Windows 7 .. so I guess it won't be a problem with it.

And my Aion is indeed EU, since the name of the the folder is " AionEU"

I just tried what you said on extracting just the 2 xml files and it worked for now.

But even with the normal file, sometimes it worked but then it stopped and started giving me the error.
But thanks, the problem is for now solved (^_^)
