Extremely Slow Update

Hi, I see there is a new patch released and I've only recently begun playing on this server, is it always so slow for the client to update? I have been at "Updating Patch Files" for the last 20 minutes and the progress bar is still at 0%.
My internet speed is nothing to sneeze at (I have gig internet) and I was wondering if there was anything I could do to speed this up.

Many people are downloading the patch. Give it time. The % will only change when it's finished downloading the part it's currently downloading.

When a lot of people are connected to the same thing.....things tend to get slow.

 

i thougth it was my internet and went with full task manager killing the process before coming here

 

so me and my friends update the orange colored bar above the blue moves extremely slow and the blue is at 0% still is that normal?

 

You have to understand that the files are based on Torrent sites in order to save $$ paying a host to charge on heavy bandwidth charges. You may look but sometimes there is a area that has alternate downloads such as Google or maybe Mega etc.

Make Note that this may be the previous patch. Doing so might set you back rather then updating. I am not responsible for breaking connection or corrupted files should you proceed.

well my friends client keeps closing and restarting tho

 

It's been there for almost 1 hour already. LOL.

 

ya and no there isnt any alternative ownloads ive googled it lol

 

so wat exactly is the top progress bar assuming the bottom blue is download process?

I also suggest keeping a copy of the game somewhere else, that way you will not have to download it again if something happens.
