"failed to initialize game [1024]"

Smartik1, this is new NCSoft launcher. It is now by default from NCSOFT NA, and I am getting same problem as this sir above. I cant play game at all cuz this annoying error... can anyone help me?

I puted latest 3.7 items.pak as you sayed and game is still not working...

Any help?

the problem is...ncsof client is 4.0 on download or not yet ...but the 3.7 one is gone from there downlaod options...so only thing u can do is t ask some1 else for 3.7 client maybe gamez will upload a fresh copy of it some where..no ideea but ncsoft not working atm....till smartik make a downgrade for 4.0.

 

There is no server side client on the old ncsoft launcher anymore, clicking the update button downloads the new ncsoft launcher which by the way still hosts the 3.7 client so you can get it there. Ncsoft screwed up the first day with the launcher that kept throwing errors at everyone and screwing up their client but it works now.

The new launcher detects any folder named "Aion", you can't manually choose which client you want to update/repair, so if you have multiple, do know you have to rename the folder every time if you want the launcher to use it.
