Fortress Event - Think Tank

I think people wanting to have their colors in the abyss will be motivation enough for alot of people to go ::lol:

 

You could spawn a npc that the winners go to to collect there prize
This could be a problem with people getting multiples of the prize or the prize could be a special
skin you cant get anywhere else

Cant wait till this event goes live

 

A pity the automatic event teleporting/reward system isn't working yet.

 

Why not, actually get fort instances too work with proper loot tables? Seems like the best fix too me.

 

That's something I lack access to and dragging our devs kicking and screaming to do it will be... eyebrow raising at best and time consuming at worst ;p

Of course that's part of the ideal solution but good things take time.

 

It doesnt surprise me really, considering if fort instances actually worked people would be able to farm their own medals, their own pvp gear leaving donations behind them.
Server has to make their money at the players expense, I understand,

Instances in the fortresses would drive the players to capture them
There could be a special merchant like I said before
What's this automatic event reward system because this could help allot in lifting some of the load off of gm's in having to manually send the prizes

 

How about make an announcement to the server that the siege is starting, put times on the website. Once that happens let the winning race as suggested b4 have the top 10 guilds duke it out for forts. This would motivate guilds to PvP to get top 10 and motivate top 10 to keep the rank. The siegers of the fort could possible each get medals for participating? That would motivate everyone even more.

 

Still, gold medals sounds good since now there's lv. 55s that require platinum medals

 

Considering these would be fairly often having medals drop left/right/center would probably have detrimental effects on the economy.

Medals being one of the few valuable items to be found ;p

If lv 55 gears should stay as a donation items only, it could drop some cool skins at least..

My motivation is quiet simple: own a fortress >:3

 

In my opinion, its pointless without having legions owning it and fort instances. Its just another rvr kinda like the event albull did before. Its boring and annoying despite what people think since there is no reward decent enough for it. And from what I know, Carl cares so much about his money that he denied letting gold medals drop, and since donation items were tradeable, that economy is pretty much destroyed right now. So imo, I would focus on the events chlora used to run rather than this x.x
