The Christmast for me is like Paint the House in family, have good time in family, drink coca cola in family,
go walk the city whit friend while use Fireworks

It was the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The socks were hung by the fireplace with care,

The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of sugar-plums danced in theur heads.
And mamma in her kerchief, and I in my cap,
Had just settled our brains for a long winter's nap.

About 5 years ago, my sister was heavily in to drugs, she disappeared with her boyfriend and we had no idea where she was for years. Our family almost fell apart from the stress of worrying and trying to find her. Then, on Christmas day last year, out of the blue, we got a call from hospital saying that she was there. Her relationship had imploded and she had been living on the streets. She had collapsed after a heroin overdose and an off duty nurse had found her and saved her life. Now for the first time in 5 years, my sister will be home and clean for Christmas and we all thank our lucky stars that someone cared enough to stop and save her.

& after all that, Christmas to me will always be about hope.

Uehara Ishi-sama wishes everyone of you a Merry Christmas!

"Christmas, Christmas. What is Christmas for me.
Well, I once wondered what it exactly means.
I honestly never believed in Santa,
but I never failed to receive a gift.
From my godparents and friends. Relatives, siblings and parents.
I'm a godparent myself so I always make sure I prepare something
for my godchildren.
As well a gift my siblings and parents with my letter of thanks
and apology.
Christmas ever since is a must awaited season for me.
It's like, the only season that I do not feel any unhappiness at all.
I do not certainly believe that it's Christ's birth, although I'm no atheist.
But I always greet him a Happy Birthday.
Because real or not, it doesn't really matter.
I am thankful that His day unites people together.
That even how busy everyone are with their own personal lives,
they always make sure that this occasion has a room on their schedules.
To eat and be merry with the whole family.
That makes me love Christmas so much.

I never wished for anything extravagant for Christmas.
I lived in a simple, happy family and simple things already made me happy.
All I wanted was to be with the people I love the most during this
special occasion.
Although this year I will be celebrating it far from my own family again,
it makes me feel mixed emotions.
Sad that I wont be celebrating Christmas the usual way we do back then,
because being far from them does not permits us to.
This year, I wont be able to join my aunt and his friends to go door to door for
Christmas carolling.
I wonder who will be their guitarist this year since I was the one
playing the guitar before.
We collect the money we get and spend it for the liquors we will drink
for the Christmas Party.
I will miss the noise the kids in our neighbourhood makes.
Their tingling sound when singing the Christmas carols, with their improvised instruments
made of cans, boxes, coins and stones.
Our lively neighbourhood. The sound of a drunken man singing the karaoke.
That gay parade showcasing their wonderful costumes,
which makes you wonder if it's Christmas or Halloween.
The fireworks my father lights up during Noche Buena that makes the whole neighbourhood
stop from what they are doing to watch the beautiful display.
The smoke all over the place from different kinds of barbecues.
My mother's perfect Carbonara which I taught her how to make, our boxes of sweet ham,
that expensive red wine I love given by her boss,
and our old Christmas light that is more than a decade old but still working.

I will miss these things this Christmas but even though I don't have all of it here,
I am still very happy because I'll get to celebrate this Christmas once again with my beloved
husband and his family.
The wonderful country of Greece, its culture, the Christmas desserts and this really cold weather.
We have plans on celebrating our Christmas by the mountains so I can enjoy the snow
and it makes me really excited. Kya!!
But I know that even how far we all are with each other right now, our hearts and thoughts will always
be filled with each other's love and presence.

I will certainly have a merry Christmas. I wish you a Merry Christmas as well "

Its the little things

Eyes opened up
Sun rays hit my face
Hopped out of my bed and raced for the living room

My face lit up as I saw the presents under the tree
tossing them back and forth trying to figure out which one was for me

Grabbed a small present opened it up
It was a letter with 5 dollars inside
So i began to fuss

Before I knew it i threw the letter to the ground
without even reading the letter

I grabbed another box

I tore the plastic off the front, my face lit up as if I just won a million dollars
It was the mighty morphing power ranger truck I wanted as a kid
and as i embraced it my older brother poked me and said it was his

I looked at the box and saw his name on the back
I began to cry and really didnt know how to act
My mother whispered in my ear, "Don't cry its more to give"

I wiped the tears from my eyes and smiled to began again
Grabbed another box and inside was a pair of socks
"Really mom?" i said

And she replied "Look its blocks"
As she pointed at the side of the present
I attempted to open another
she said "that's for your older brother harry"

My eyes are blood shot red, with tears streaming down my face
Mother pulled me to the side and told me "Son dry your face,
There's one more present and i knew this meant the world to you
Open it up, I promise you will be smiling until your face turns blue"

I ripped through the paper like porky at a picnic
Tossed the paper to the side,
As I opened the card my tears vanished

I read it from side to side threw it to the ground
Ran out of the living room until my feet touched the concrete outside

There it was sitting bright like the moon
My own tony hawk's skate board
and Just like my mom assumed my face turned blue.

I started laughing as I hugged her with love

Told her "Mama thank you for the present"
She looked down and said "Son you deserved it"
