    I've recently noticed that my posts have'nt updated in quite some time. Including this post my post count should be 43, not 11

    Considering Hotspam is one of the most popular forums and people just post random stuff there, if posts actually counted there most people here would have 1000+ posts. That's how it works on a lot of forums though. They have an area for people to spam stuff with no increase to post count.
