platinum coins are quest items / pet-present items that you can use to buy lvl 46 fabled (golden) gear. those items have the same skin as Elder/Demolition items, so nothing particular. you need a lot of platinum medals to buy 1 item, so its better you try to drop demolition items, its much faster. there are some Npc that exchange this coins In brushtonin in baltasar hill village, but they dont work 100%. you can find working ones in BuBu village, in the nord of the map. i dont know the location on ely side.
