Oh this is really funny, I almost choked myself giggling at reading Puddles' description on the first post. I laughed so hard how it was so realistic that Cersei is like Puddles and Cersei is mostly misunderstood by people. I think she is a strong character with every intention to protect her family especially her children and her love, Jaime. I need to get my old hdd fixed somehow I really want to rewatch season 1 to 3. Come to think of it I forgot to watch last week's episode.

Puddles is NOT Cersei, hell no hell no hell no, and Cersei is more concerned about her power than her family. If you read the fourth book (A Feast for Crows) then she finally gets POV chapters, and it's clear that she really is a cold heartless bitch.

Of course the show does like to whitewash a lot of characters such as Dany, Shae, and we can't forget the most whitewashed of all, Saint Tyrion of House Whitewash.

 

I actually wouldn't say those characters are whitewashed, they just have more identifiable/socially acceptable traits, and are generally seen as good people so we can accept the morally reprehensible things they do, which is just something humans do.

 

I could go on and give some pretty clear examples of their whitewashing, but in doing so I would give away some upcoming spoilers that many people may or may not, but definitely will not appreciate.

Also the same thing goes in reverse with how some characters like Jaime are handled. In the books, his "redemption arc" is going pretty well, but the show likes to take a one step forward, two steps back approach. Such as having him do some unnecessary kinslaying as part of an escape attempt. In what way does that make sense? He downright murders his own cousin(and remember this is kinslaying which is one of the biggest taboos in Planetos, way up there with Guest Right) and it's not even necessary. Then they do a good job with his bath scene with Brienne and saving her from the bear, but then boom, that consensual sex scene in the sept with Cersei in the books becomes a downright rape.

 

I think they were trying to convey the point that Jaime didn't care about Joffrey, and I think that worked well with the rape, but I think the consensual sex would've been much funnier because it ends up in both of them showing a blatant disregard and essentially fucking on top of Joffrey's corpse. I was a bit sad when it went the other way.

I've been around since 2011 and I don't remember them...there's plenty of recent staff members that isn't assigned any character yet. It's not like people don't know them either. The same could be said to those '10/'11 people mentioned that isn't on the list. They're simply not around anymore to poke fun at.

 

Either Karissa or Bella should be added, preferably Bella. Both of them did kinda contribute to major staff exodus, creations of new competing servers, etc.

Also I see you have me as Jorah Mormont, and yet nobody has explained why. I disagree sir, for I am nothing like Jorah.
