Solved Game won't apply my Family name (Help needed fast pls)

so i've just started on gamez created a character lvled up to 18 and then the game prompted me to choose a family name which is fine.
the issue is when i type in my family name of choice and confirm its availability i hit apply and the prompt closes without actually changing my Family name.
and after a couple of minutes the games prompts me again to choose a family name.

Thing i've already tried:
1. trying many times to apply my family name (didnt work)
2. switch channels in game (didnt work)
3. turning off the game and relaunching it (didnt work)

what should i do

Well there might be an extremely simple explaination to this dilemma:
You are trying to choose a name that has been banned

Some words, or even part of words, aren't allowed as Names here on GamezBD, much like on retail-bdo. The list is Far too long to show here (also I haven't got the slightest idea what's on it), but it stands to reason that you are trying to use rude, or disallowed partial-words, in your chosen names

I do hope you have the imagination to make an original name, and then there should be NO problems registering it at all, also welcome to the GamezBD community...hope your stay with us will be an enjoyable one.

 

We tried a lot of names using the nickname generator and, despite the fact that he writes that this name can be changed, the result is the same, after a couple of minutes a sentence with a surname pops up.We spent 16 hours going over the last name, using a generator and imagination.

I do not know what this is related to, but after a few hours the game still took the last name and reconnected, as expected.

 

If you encounter any problem while typing family name on a new account, try switch to character selection right after you choose the name. That's a workaround given by @Kolka.
