    Hi! my brother is also about to play aion at his new laptop which has win8 OS.
    Is it possible to play aion using win8?
    Does it have a different way of downloading and installation if you have windows 8?
    Are there any threads or guides about this?

    It's the same client for all the window versions (XP, Vista, 7, 8)

    The only "different" OS is XP, which requires the .bat launcher to let you play on our servers
